i want it to move like max's jacket

i think its just switching between two normal maps using a blend transition between the two.

Looks amazing ! I don't understand some of the complains...

Graphics are nice and i trust Remedy to make a kick-ass game with an immersive story and fun gameplay ! They do have a great track record after all.

This is sooo day one !!!

It's still doesn't take away that it was implied as being released this year after all MS is the publisher so MS staff will know where abouts it will be releasing. If it was TBA then it will be different.

He's not really wrong Quantum Break and Kinect Sports rivals will be two games that have been delayed on XB1.

What was Quantum Break's official release date? I may have missed it then.

Maybe I need to see more, but my first impression based on the screenshots is that the game doesn't... look... that good? It looks pretty nice, but the chromatic aberration and fucked up foliage and weird inconsistent AA and blurriness really looks ugly to me, especially in this shot:

The "film grain" also makes it look like a magazine scan to me and less like an actual film.

EDIT: I think it's less film grain and more some bizarre dithering that reminds me of PSP screenshots.

This is the first screenshot I've been able to clearly see chromatic aberration in way that's distracting.

Looks pretty good as an Xbox One game otherwise.

An effect that even the first Uncharted had :)

It's a cool trick where they interpolate 2 different normal maps to achieve that kind of cloth wrinkle movement. Looks great for small details like that.

Yeah, I think ND actually removed it for the sequels(or made it so it was less jarring). I don't think it looks particularly effective tbh, maybe if the animation was going through several normal maps and not just two.

It's there in UC3

The CA is really horrible. The gameplay clip looks okay, I expected more visually, Alan Wake, if not for the dog shit resolution, would have been the best looking 360 game.

Very surprised to hear it won't be at E3 though, MS must have some incredible shit not to be showing this.

The game looks great, cant wait. Normally, I would be laughing at the TV show + game idea, but I kinda liked the Alan Wake shorts on XBL back in 2010 and the Mr. Scratch idea in Alan Wake, so in Remedy's hands, this could actually be great.

Well Max is running so it's hard to say how it will compare under the same conditions. Also thick leather doesn't necessarily behave that way, especially if you're just walking and not swinging your shoulders. Great looking tech btw, but flawed comparison., we need more QB footage.

Looks really good... just bummed its 2015 but as with every year as we approach E3 and the 2nd half of the year many titles get pushed out to the next year.

You know the Live action stuff is silly, they should of scrap that. It will be weird going from
Gamey characters cutscenes to this "TV Show" stuft, even the first trailer was weird with the lil girl.

The immersion will lost completely once they push you out to a Live action video. Gameplay seemed alot like Alan Wake meets every other TPS these days.

Finally watched the footage...looks to be an interesting game at the least. Can see why it won't be around for this year though or be previewed at E3, but that's not a bad thing.

Looks awesome but I'm happy it's not releasing until next year. I want them to take their time and now I have less of a reason to pick up a XBO.

If this will have little to no presence at E3, I wonder what MS plans to show. I figured this, Sunset Overdrive, and Halo would have been their showcase titles at the show.

Game looks pretty ridiculous, definitely better in motion than in stills (which don't do it justice). I think parts definitely approached CG levels. I think it's definitely one of the best looking games so far revealed for this generation, and calling it the best wouldn't be a big leap (and I might agree with that...although it does have some awesome competition so I don't know if I could say this definitively).

Being a big Alan Wake fan, I can't wait to see more of this game and concept. AW was one of my favorite games of last generation (and was definitely underrated, I feel), and Remedy hasn't let me done from the games I've played of theirs. Hoping QB continues this tradition.

And I recommend people watch the Vimeo HD version from Remedy's page, much better quality than Youtube: http://remedygames.com/quantum-break-gameplay-teaser/

They also have their other videos in HD here (initial reveal and VGZ trailer): https://vimeo.com/remedygames

Extremely hyped for this game, the tv series seems kind of cool. You see everything from the "bad guys" perspective

I doubt the final game on an actual XB1 will look that good.

me neither. Reminds me of hte watchdogs 2012 target render. I do find it funny that despite all these snippets of gameplay which is probably running on a beefed up pc rig, that some people are saying that other games are "leaps" ahead of it. LOLz

Anyone saying any of best-looking games shown off for this generation (XB1/PS4) are "leaps" better than any other best-looking game is probably a fanboy. Or delusional. Or is using the word incorrectly. "Leaps" to me implies generational type jumps...

looks great,,, Interesting the studio that invented/popularized video game bullet time now take it one step further to freeze time....
Also Sam Lake announcing the trailer Is effectively like Max Payne announcing it so is always going to go down well....
Am excited to see what this turns out like....
Ps. I think the Chromatic Abberation looks cool...

It will likely look even better than it does now by a good margin. It is running on actual Dev kits there is no PC superior version.

I'm saying even with that, at this state it isn't as impressive visually as other stuff that has already been shown.

I am not saying it doesn't look good. I think it looks great I just was expecting more.

Sam Lake is fantastic. I could listen to that guy all day

I think QB looks stunning and easily a generational leap over anything on the last gen consoles.

Why does me thinking that make me a fanboy or delusional?

I'd also argue 1886 is several leaps ahead of anything we saw last gen too, it's probably the most visually stunning game I've seen to date and that includes any and everything on PC.

he's not referring from 360 to xbone or ps3 to ps4. Some users here are saying that there are games out and are coming that are a leap ahead of this game which is ludicrous

I don't really think this looks anywhere near the original reveal in terms of visual fidelity, but I guess there is time to polish things up since it's not coming out for a while.

Looks great!

The visual style is very reminiscent of Alan Wake, which is I think is a good thing.

I'm OK with a 2015 release date. Gives MS plenty of time for an Xbone price drop.

Hmm, this games looks very solid. As long as they take the time to polish it and make it worth the wait, I'm ok with the delay.

What worries me the most are those scenes of live action footage in the background. Looks really low-budget for some reason...

He meant people saying The Order (or any other Ps4) looking leaps better than this (or any other Xbone game) or the other way around.

Edit: Oh, someone pointed that out already XD

Thanks.

Sigh, I always told myself I would never get into discussions about visuals beyond expressing how stunning (or not so stunning) a game looks.

I don't know what compelled me to reply to that post. Should have known better...

You can play the game and watch the tv segment later.
