Well at least I should have an xbox one by then.
It will likely look even better than it does now by a good margin. It is running on actual Dev kits there is no PC superior version.
That looks pretty dang different to me man
Well that's a bummer, unless I can find a good X1 deal on Black Friday, I'll probably just wait till 2015.
A game without an previous release date has been delayed, and now got downgraded because the gameplay sections looks worse than cutscenes.

Personally, I think Second Son looks better than this, and the Order is on a whole other level- but that's not a big deal. This game looks absolutely bananas in the mechanics, gameplay, and narrative aspect. A system seller.

In your personal opinion, how much of a downgrade do you think we can expect from that screaming woman footage in the final game?
I know it's probably hard to quantify, but what would take a hit in your opinion? The various particle effects? The way the glass reacts to the main character? Textures? Lighting? Or pretty much everything?
Feel free to PM me your thoughts if you'd rather not share publicly.

Anyone saying any of best-looking games (QB, The Order, Infamous, Ryse, etc.) shown off for the next generation systems (XB1/PS4) are "leaps" better than any other best-looking game is probably a fanboy. Or delusional. Or is using the word incorrectly. "Leaps" to me implies generational type jumps...
When you take into consideration it is an open world game then definitely Second Son is more impressive than Quantum break. For the same reason Second Son in my eyes is more impressive than The Order.
In which way? Care to point out?
Hard to say since there is really no gameplay being shown . Definatelyv doesn't look cgi like initial reveal did , though . I think most here are skeptical , since other than ryse , most xb1 exclusives have looked like they were based on 360 development , with slightly higher resolutionOf course they look different. You are comparing two really different areas/scenes. I just don't see any downgrade here.
If you must compare, then compare portions of this clip to the ones shown at VGX.
Looks like a Fuse clone

From a visual standpoint looked a tad better than a 360 game thoughyeah, no. Dead Rising 3 couldn't have been done on the 360, at least not with the density, no loading and lighting it currently has.
When did everything get so negative and so focused on graphics? Sad days.

Did you even read my post? I said Infamous Second Son is more impressive to me than both QB and The Order. Gee, some people.

ii think it all started during hte ps3 days when Sony was propping up the console with stuff like "teh power of teh cell" and fanboys just ran with it
Well I've been having visual debates since super street fighter for SNES, GENESIS
I'm probably too old![]()
Can someone gif both of the scenes?
The density and quality of all the frozen objects looks like it's much higher quality. The lighting also seems to be a lot better.

I think you misinterpreted my point. I'm pointing out something that you were initially getting at (indirectly, though): that ISS can be considered more impressive than QB because of its open-world components, but ISS isn't considered more impressive than The Order (the open-world components are ignored here?).
It was just a silly point, and wasn't meant to be a big thing. More was just poking fun at Thuway's post. I actually agreed with your premise.
there shouldn't be much of a downgrade if at all imo

Well hopefully it sells, I felt bad for Remedy with Alan Wake because it got no love so much that they started giving it away with every console and eventually releasing it on PC. Please Xbox fans, buy it.
The concept of freezing time is as old as videogames themselves and yet I don't think it has ever been done in 3d yet, which is surprising, considering we've seen something like this in movies and commercials (the famous one by Philps where the camera flies through a frozen crime scene with people and bullets in mid air and whatnot) for a while and it's Remedy's own bullet time's natural evolution if you think about it. It just surprises it took so long to inspire a videogame, or at least that it hasn't been done to this effect yet afaik.
This is assuming it doesn't just happens at fixed times but can be controlled by the player.
What makes it special here is the fact it seems that stuff frozen in mid air still retains some physics the main character can interact with which could open up incredible gameplay mechanics.
Huge potential here.
I'd have to disagree. It looks quite a bit better than the DR games on 360.
That jaded perception...
This has been going on for generations.

But it didn't look like a generational leap. It also ran like a bag of frozen assholes.
Fun game, but please don't act like it was a powerhouse in either looks or performance.

There's TimeShift.
