Why didn't anyone tell me Carnitas is the best option at Chipotle???

I love Chipotle in a "I just worked out and all of this is good for my gains", but I find the food fairly bland in general.

If I was going for taste I would go to Moe's and get a chicken bacon ranch quesadilla with sour cream and chips with a selection of salsa.....alksdjf4024nhgq0gifuckimhugnryscrewthiscut

I'm not sure, to me traditional mexican doesn't have very flavorful rice and is mostly beans and rice, so it's kind of bland. The meats don't usually have much flavor either.

It's still good, but in a filling way, not in a taste way, chili verde burritos are good though

No offense, but this sounds disgusting.

Moe's? Their food is bland. Sure they give you lots of options but their ingredients are all bland. Chipotle's ingredients taste a lot more fresh and have their own distinct flavor. Anyway OP carnitas are the best. When im in the mood to splurge I'll get a carnitas bowl with brown rice, pinto beans, peppers and onions, corn, hot salsa, sour cream, cheese and guacamole. Although Cafe Rio>>>>>>> all other places, their pork barbacoa is amazing.

I like Carnitas in general really. I wish Chipotle would actually take some chances. Like the barbacoa is "beef" barbacoa. That's like going to a diner and the only meatloaf on the menu is turkey meatloaf. It's good, but let's not pretend this isn't mexican food for run of the mill boring people.

At Chipotle, beef barbacoa is pretty boring. It's basically shredded beef. If you go to a mexican restaurant that serves it on weekends along with menudo, it's like the best thing in the world. It's goat.

Goat is soooooooo good if prepared right. Like more flavorful lamb.

Hell yea. That's why chipotle has to clarify that it's "beef" barbacoa. Anybody that orders that shit is like the bitch ordering turkey bacon or meatballs made of chicken or turkey. If you need to specify what the type of meat is before the item is, chances are that's that shit I don't like.

I actually find the chicken at Chipotle to be very bland and boring, and I love the barbacoa. I will try carnitas next time I go, I've never had it.

It's not IMO.

I like the carnitas, but I'm a chicken guy. I should mix it up more, I've probably gotten chicken my past 30 stops at Chipotle.

Mixed up it, man.

Chicken is so vanilla.

You can always do half and half and it's more than a regular serving and they won't charge you double.

You won't regret it.

The only meat that my Chipotle cooks consistently is barbacoa. Sometimes the other meats are seasoned perfectly, other times they're ultra-bland.

Tried their carnitas burrito today, it was decent. I'm spoiled when it comes to Carnitas. San Diego has the best carnitas restaurants. They fucking mastered carnitas in SD. Still can't find a good place in LA that's even close to what SD offers.
