Watch Playstation's E3 conference in movie theaters

Optimistic about those numbers. Insiderp was right last time so Sony is probably holding it for the conference. I'm not taking thuway's info as Gospel. Last year, employees were saying that info was so tight that only a few people knew all the details. I doubt it has changed this year. Expect the megatons.
 
Yeah, seeing previous threads were locked and I don't really trust the site I would say don't make a thread. I'm sure Sony will say something in 10 days lol.

no point in holding the number. it's not they are doing more than a million a month. and they've been announcing it around first week of each month so far. it'll probably get posted a few days before E3/NPD anyways.

Added my name and contact to the Google Doc for San Francisco. I'm on the wait list as well sadly.. Hope we can get in! At the very least, it will be a good opportunity to get some streetpass tags.
 
i just organized the list by city. lets keep it that way

i'm also gonna add a column in each tab on whether people with bring a vita/3ds or not, since i saw NYC did that and i liked it.

To keep it real. They obviously can't sacrifice a goat every year in order to hold a conference. Maybe they're trying to make things better. That's the PlayStation I know and love right there. Remember the PS9 commercial?

There's one thing added to all this and that's haters. GD so many haters.

I especially feel sorry for all those people that spend hundreds of dollars on sports franchise merchandise. All they are doing is advertising for a massive corporation who already spends millions in advertising.

It's a hobby man, some people get really into it is all. You see it as a waste of time, they see it as fun and a chance to impress or make people laugh while supporting their favorite console gaming company.
 
I've just updated availability of locations on the spreadsheet. 21 locations sold out, 19 have a wait list, and only three are still available.
 
I don't want to get OT too much, but is there going to be any way how to watch E3 press confer. on PS4? Is browser reliable?

Really, they have a showing in Alaska but not in Michigan? Lansing, Grand Rapids and especially Detroit are all pretty big cities.

Omaha is sold out. I got my tickets thankfully. A person I know went to register at the last minute and they were sold out, that was about two days ago. Hopefully he can get on a waiting list.

It's sad they couldn't offer this is in more countries. Australia for one. Prices of games are super high. They should be given something nice like this for those prices.

My GF and I are all set for the Boston one. Should be exciting. We weren't going to go at first until we noticed the free gift part. I'm a sucker for collectibles. And free things.
 
On a freakin waiting list and in freaking Nebraska. We have 1.5 MILLION PEOPLE in the whole state..... Some how a bigger fraction of us are gamer I guess.

Usually these things are only going to be in 1 theater that holds maybe a couple of hundred people. Most people probably got 2+ tickets so of course they go fast.
 
Hey, I got another email that fixed the duplicate name issue! I don't know if they are doing that for everyone, so if you don't get your email in the next day or so and you haven't contacted them yet, just email them and ask for a fix.

I believe the poster who made that originally posted it in the Sony E3 hype thread (now locked)

You could get his name from there pretty easy, it got quoted like 200 times
 
I too am of the opinion that Sony propably wouldn't have arranged this kind of thing if they themselves thought that they weren't gonna have a good showing.
 
If they're showing the conference in movie theatres, I'm guessing Sony must have some big reveals planned. Otherwise... what's the point? Seems like a tremendous waste of money and time otherwise. However, E3 conferences from Sony have been pretty poor over the years so I'm not sure what to expect.
