PS3 says I've input an unknown device, same with windows.... :/

Well now I can't play ultra anymore

It isn't like trying to work out a flux capacitor. Have you opened it up to have a look? Maybe you just have a wire loose. Worst case, you might just have to replace a part.

I'm sure somebody who lives near you could help. Try the tech forums on SRK or something like that.

You should try googling the stick and the issue to see if you can find any matches.

Still debating on whether to get Ultra or not.

There's a good chance that I'll play it for about a week then never touch it again going by my previous experiences with SF.

Already did, nada

Opened it up and I can't find anything that looks out of place either, everything is where it's supposed to be

Well my warranty is already void so I can't send it to them or anything(bought it over a year ago now)

Sounds like it's the PCB. You may have to buy a new one. When you get it open up the stick and replace it with the new one. I'm sure their are guides that will give you step by step instructions.

But if it's too much trouble for you I'll just let you know I don't own a fighting edge, just saying.

They might offer some troubleshooting though. Maybe it's a known issue?

Still try contacting them anyway, they could be helpful. Could always try and seek some guidance in the arcade stick thread as well.

can you get any PCB or is it specific for the FE? also are there any places that sell them that would ship to Canada?
 
Man, what a disaster this Steamworks has been. Online is awful and everytime I look for a match the Network connection keeps flashing and doesn't stop. So looking for good connections is completely arbitrary. Not to mention that when you actually get into a lobby the connection bar is always green no matter what the connection is. I've started matches that had full green bars only to have the match lag to hell the entire time.Let's hope they fix this and don't abandon the title after Ultra comes out.
 
Does someone have that link that had all those UNIB match videos by character and matchup?

Did I see that link on here or on twitter?

I wish every game had a resource like that

Worst case, contact Mr mortified. He knows how to dual mod fighting edges so I'm sure he can repair yours. He's at A&C sometimes and can be found on Twitter

Finally got around to doing this. My score is 5450 with a average frame rate of 60.184. For reference I have a i5 2500k with 8GB RAM and a GTX 460. I haven't used the benchmark in a very long time. I thought it use to go into the hundreds if your PC was good enough? Is it locked at 60 even for the benchmark now?

Onemic, I think PCB's normally go for $30 to $50. I've never done it myself so I don't know if you have to find one that's compatible or if any works as long as you can find a spot to put in your case. I guess you gotta do some research about that. But man it must suck with this happening just a few days before USF4. Good thing I have 3 other sticks to fall back on if my main one dies on me lol.

I have a similar setup and I'm getting 140fps (5940 score) average.

Honestly, I think I'm just gonna retire it until Xrd comes out and hopefully a PS4 PCB will be out(you can do something like that right?) and I'll just install that.

I actually do have another stick, my UMvC3 Hori stick. It's wonky though because it autopauses depending on how hard I hit the buttons, I think there's a loose wire or something.(It's the whole reason I decided to get a new stick) I'll just use that and if it autopauses I'll open it up and try to see where the loose wire is.
 
Are there any tweaks to get AE PC running smoother beyond just the in-game settings? I can get 60FPS with the stage settings on low, but when I turn it on high it goes down to like 50FPS.

That is pretty odd, I know for sure that when I used the benchmark in the past it was over 100(I think in the 120's). But when I used it just a moment ago, it seemed locked to 60. It kept going back and forth between 59 and 60 and never dropping or exceeding those two numbers.

I did notice something odd, although I don't know if it means anything. The game says I have Windows Vista when I actually have Windows 7. Again it probably doesn't mean anything but that's the only thing that sticks out to me. Well whatever it is I'm sure it'll be worked out before USF4 comes out on PC. In the end that's all that matters to me since I'll be on PS3 and 360 until that happens.

EDIT: WTF, now the sound is all screwed up. It's not as loud and it keeps echoing. Updating was a mistake lol.

All your settings on low? Particles effect probably kills performance alot. Lowering your resolution will help if its not already low enough.

Yeah, pretty much at the bottom of the barrel. My graphics card is a piece of shit. Not tryna go lower than 1024x768 res though.

Damn enzo how old is your graphics card :(. My laptop I mostly use for work lets me play 720p high settings and that's on ihd4000
 
Dude what the fuck. AE is a different looking game on PC holy shit.

I didn't even fuck with settings. Went straight to benchmark adn that bitch was on 130FPS. Goddamn.

Ok I have two computers. One of them I built in 2012 and it's pretty damn good, but I'm not trying to use it for gaming too much. The other I built in 2008 and it was top of the line at the time, how would SF4 work on it?

Yeah I'm sure people would want to know the vid card but I really don't remember. So whatever was the best shit you could buy at that time is probably what I have.

I do know it was whatever radeon was at the top at the time is probably what I have.

I think you need a new PC if the average frame rate is 60fps. My average frame rate is 250. And you might double check your graphics settings, make sure VSYNC is OFF and Frame Rate is at FIXED because it's been documented that if you'll get input lag if VSYNC is ON and Variable/Smooth frame rate will make the game run differently than it suppose to.
