Haven't played a fighter in a while but Ultra SF4 hype has caught hold and I'm looking forward to jumping back in for a bit. I also have the urge to mess around with a 3D fighter for a bit and the recent DOA5 thread got me curious about the following (cross posting from that thread):

Are people still playing DOA5 Ultimate on 360? Debating picking it up.

Slightly off topic but what are the most popular 3D fighters these days? I am assuming Tekken Tag 2 is #1 seeing as it is the only 3D fighter picked for EVO 2014. Are there any others still relatively popular within the FGC?

Tag 2 has the biggest community by far. Soul Calibur is just for us old timers & DOA for pervs.

Last year and 2010 for me.


Unpopular opinion but I didn't like the capcom games' showing in 2011. Vanilla Phoenix, Yun, Viper, Seth. No thanks. I remember that weekend thinking that Mortal Kombat and Blazblue had the best top 8 showings.

If we're waiting until EVO week for the Q title then I vote for this. However if someone manages to make a good title that combines MKX and Ultra I'd change my vote to that.

EVO 2011 is the first and only EVO I have ever attended. I got to meet some of the other GAF'ers like Gods Beard and uh, sorry I can't remember anybody else's name. Besides that EVO 2011 was the last time SF4 top 8 was hype. Maybe I'm the key to a hype USF4 top 8.
