Batman Arkham Knight delayed to 2015

With this game delayed, I don't regret having an immense backlog. Still, if it means a better game in the end, then so be it.

On the plus side, I will hopefully have a R9 390X/GTX 880 by the time I actually play Batman Arkham Knight.

Was actually excited for this game. What is i gonna play this year.....

Probably thinking about price depreciation, opportunity costs and better deals down the road.
How does any of that apply to a console that costs 399 dollars now and will also cost 399 dollars next year? When that gets used on a semi regular basis?Youre talking about it like there are people who have never turned on their PS4 and I seriously doubt that's the case.

Sigh

Well, at least the indies haven't let me down. It was the second reason I bought a PS4 and I have not been disappointed. And with Hotline Miami 2, Hohkum, The Witness, and Galak-z among several other, it's going to be the year of the indie again, like 2012. Yup, that made me feel a lot better.

This fucking game was the reason i was buying a PS4 this year. What the hell man.

Is this coming early 2015 or fall? This is so stupid. Every developer is pushing their game back to 2015 then 2015 is going to get crowded too, soooo????........ What happened to releasing tons of games during the holidays? That's when consumers spend the most money.

Sony, you just lost a PS4 sale. You can thank WB or Rocksteady or whoever the fuck ever is responsible fot the delay.

Sigh. I love playing Batman during the winter.

Let me guess.

RockSteady Games is fully commited in bringing the highest quality in all our products and this is not an exception. We wanted to make sure that our players would experience the most cinematic immersive experience to ensure cross-gen next-gen features are optimal as possible.

From Dark Souls 2 to Watch_Dogs I think the tone has been set. Now include The Division, Batman: Arkham Knight, The Evil Within (delayed to Octomber 2014) as well as other 2015 delays, and we are reaching some form of breaking point.

Most misleading generation. This is not funny anymore. This is a straight out parody.

You can already get deals on it for $340 with various types of discounts. That's my point the longer it is on the market the easier it is find deals. The RRP might not change but competition generally makes this true. Plus lets say he wanted to buy a bigger tv. He could have had that TV now and bought the PS4 later rather than having the ps4 now without the games he wanted to play.

The Evil Within wasn't delayed to 2015

Never buy consoles in their first year on market

Speak for yourself I feel like I've gotten my money's worth with my ps4 purchase easily. Maybe people should really sit down before they drop $400-500 on something and, just like any other purchase, decide if it's right for them based on what's in the box, not their own imaginations, and stop the incessant obsession with "day one"ing everything. If you bought a ps4 in November 2013 because of what was going to be out a year later then you fuckef up.

Totally sucks especially for next gen people.

More and more I am happy I have held off jumping to a PS4 or Xbone till the lineups get better.

Until then I'll just keep playing my Wii U, and I'll reevaluate next year what to buy and when.

Batman:AK, DriveClub, MKX, The Order... what's with the release dates slipping to 2015, or announcements for 2015 games? We're still in the early part of 2014 with little on the horizon to get excited for before the end of the year ('cept Evolve for me).

seriously though Arkham Knight was the only game I was looking forward to on the HDX Twins this fall and a legit system seller for me :( early 2015 please!

If the game is not ready it's not ready what do you want them to do? Sprinkle some magic dust on it? This clearly isn't ideal for WB as the game would have feasted in October but things happen. Would you rather have a rushed, buggy or bad game? In retrospect would you have preferred if, say, Battlefoeld 4 had been delayed 4 or 5 months to have it working better at launch? I mean is that what we all bitch and complain about? Isn't that what we want? These things happen. Why do you guys always have to find a bad guy in every situation?

Getting my money's worth hasn't been an issue. I do the vast majority of my gaming on PS4 and that will continue this fall but I'm still waiting for a great game. Destiny is the only real shot at that this year for me.

Hey look.. another awesome game delayed!

At this point I dont even give fuck.

AC Unity is the last one Im looking forward to. Dont delay it plz.!

...unless you understand the risks, which include software delays, hardware problems, and possible price drops.

Many early adopters are proud folks who don't care about the risks and just want to be first. If they've got the cash to spend, nobody should deny them the chance to spend it.

Early adopters do, however, relinquish some credibility when they complain about being affected by the risks mentioned above. They knew the risks and spent the cash anyway, so early adopters bear at least some responsibility for their regrets.

Well said, I will never understand people buying a new console day 1 and then bitch about it because they have to wait for the games they are interested in. It makes no sense, wait for the games to come out and then buy the console.
