So pretty much this year is going to be an absolute joke game-wise?
If the game is not ready it's not ready what do you want them to do? Sprinkle some magic dust on it? This clearly isn't ideal for WB as the game would have feasted in October but things happen. Would you rather have a rushed, buggy or bad game? In retrospect would you have preferred if, say, Battlefoeld 4 had been delayed 4 or 5 months to have it working better at launch? I mean is that what we all bitch and complain about? Isn't that what we want? These things happen. Why do you guys always have to find a bad guy in every situation?

Yes I graduated high school I fully understand opportunity cost. But that doesn't apply for the majority of Ps4 owners who have already bought and enjoyed games on it. Do we want more games, yeah of course why not? But saying people wasted their money by buying a console early, to me isn't very accurate. You can already get deals on it for $340 with various types of discounts. That's my point the longer it is on the market the easier it is find deals. The RRP might not change but competition generally makes this true. Plus lets say he wanted to buy a bigger tv. He could have had that TV now and bought the PS4 later rather than having the ps4 now without the games he wanted to play.

So was Rocksteady lying when they denied that claim from a few months ago that the game was delayed?

AC Unity Game of the Year
It's been in development since they finished Arkham City. And if it wasn't ready then don't have people expecting it's coming this fall.
I was going to buy a PS4 for this!!!!
I don't agree. People should keep their expectations high and voice their opinion when they are disappointed in companies. These companies exist to make things for consumers, and if the consumers aren't happy with the output of the company, they have every right to complain about it. Nothing good happens when consumers sit around and lower expectations. What it means to me is that people need to recalibrate their expectations, as they are clearly out of whack.

If people kept quiet about shit they are disappointed with we would probably have two systems that we couldn't play used games on right now.
People voicing discontent with there being fewer releases really achieves absolutely nothing. (Particularly, when people are concurrently voice discontent about things not being 1080p60. Or not being "next gen" enough. Or having "last gen gameplay.")I don't agree. People should keep their expectations high and voice their opinion when they are disappointed in companies. There are fewer releases, because of both rising costs and rising expectations for what those releases will entail. Complaining about it doesn't really change the underlying situation whatsoever.

Man, there's a lot of delays this year.
Never thought I'd say this, but thank God for the Wii U. Between X, Bayonetta 2, and Smash Bros, it looks more and more like that's the main thing I'm playing this year. Not to mention Tropical Freeze and my current addiction Mario Kart 8.

The new consoles still have more than 3 games this fall dude.
Then don't buy a ps4. Or wait 6 months til the game comes out and then buy one.
These rising costs and expectations are complete bullshit. Some of the most popular and profitable video games out right now are shit like Angry Birds and Minecraft. To sit there and say that these small companies can figure out how to make smaller, cheaper, profitable games and AAA developers can't is just bullshit. There are fewer releases, because of both rising costs and rising expectations for what those releases will entail. Publishers are consolidating their resources onto fewer releases out of necessity. Complaining about it doesn't really change the underlying situation whatsoever.
I never said it we could. My point was that people don't have to be satisfied with the current market just because the video game industry has pushed itself into a corner. There are plenty of cheap games that don't have these high end graphics and polish that do very well for themselves. The market has spoken, that's the problem. This isn't an arbitrary change that can be reversed, like the MS DRM. The industry has a evolved due to drastic changes in customer spending and habits.
We can't hashtag our way into more AAA titles per year.
