So, can we all agree that Diner's Drive ins and Dives is the best show on the Food N?

Guy is awesome and there is nothing better than seeing a local place highlighted. I also envy so many of cool little joints that are half way across the country. Who else likes this show?

I catch the show sometimes. It's enjoyable as something in the background while I'm doing chores. Guy Fieri's aversion to eggs is odd though. It's in a lot of foods he eats but as a main ingredient he avoids it all together. Notice on the show there's never any fried or scrambled eggs when he's tasting?

Guy just creeps me out. Give me Giada and that cleavage any day of the week.

Chopped and the shows with Marc Summers voiceovers are better.

Good Eats is god tier.

All better shows with more likable hosts than Guy Fieri.

Dont forget chopped. That's pretty much all they show on the Food Network nowadays. That and reruns of Iron Chef.

Also, Giada <3

Credit where it's due - it is a good show, love that he promotes small local establishments, but sometimes it feels like it's the only show left on Food Network. I think it's on most weeknights now for a couple hours at a time.

I must be old school, my favorites were always Good Eats, Emeril, and Mario Batali's show. Learned a lot watching those.

...come to think of it, were the Two Fat Ladies on Food TV way back in the day? They were pretty good.

People like this fat idiot?

Those reports about his homophobic comments don't help much either.

They like the show, not the fat idiot.

A lot of the food they show inspires me to cook, which is what makes it good to me.

Off topic, but is Alex Guarnaschelli really an Iron Chef now? If so then that show is dead to me.

It doesn't actually teach you anything. It's like a show written for kindergartners.

Let's go to the hamburger store!

Here's a hamburger! What goes in the hamburger?

Meeeeeeeat.... Saaaaaalllt.... Peeeeppeeeeerrrr....

Then they fry it and put it on a bun and then Guy eats it! Mmmmmmmm Guy likes it!

Next let's go to the spaghetti store!

Here's some spaghetti! What goes in the spaghetti?

Spagheeeeetti... Tomatoes..... Saaaaaallllt..... Peeeeepppper....

Let's watch people eat the spaghetti! Mmmmmmm they like it!

Guy gets in his big red car and drives away!

Alex Guarnaschelli can cook?

I thought she was like the Simon Cowell of Chopped?

As much as I enjoy DDD, this description is fucking spot-on, thanks for the laugh :).

10/10

You gotta eat here is much better but might only be on in Canada.

Guy can be hard to watch at times but the show is still good, yes.

I thought everybody hated Guy and everything he stands for?

Can't stand the guy really but I've lifted some amazing ideas from the places he visits. I could care less who the host is, I just enjoy seeing the things those people come up with in their kitchens.

That show is awful.

"Hey, let's watch this douchebag shove food in his face and then say a ridiculously stupid saying that nobody over the age of 15 should ever say!"

Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Iron Chef (yes, with the amazing Alex Guarnaschelli) are way, way better.

Just once I want to see him dislike something he eats. Better yet, I'd like to see one of the chefs call him out for being a super unfunny douche.

That show is far from the best. His other show, Guy's Grocery Games, is better. Chopped, Chopped Canada, Cutthroat Kitchen, and several others are way better.

Or: Guy Fieri Finishes Other People's Sentences for Thirty Minutes

It often feels like Man Vs. Food, minus the likeable host. In the hands of another production company and without Fieri it might be passable. As it stands it's too much Guy and not enough about the restaurant and the surrounding community.

I thought she was like the Simon Cowell of Chopped?

See, I thought Geoffrey Zakarian was the Simon Cowell on Chopped as well. But I watched him on Next Iron Chef and the guy is awesome. Maybe if I had watched Guarnaschelli I would have changed my mind about her.

Both pale in comparison to Michael Symon though.

I'm not real big on Guy and his persona, but I do like that highlighting of small local places across the country. We keep a little list of places we see on shows like DDD so when we're visiting a new town we can refer back to it.

Agreed. The True Iron Chef, second only to Masaharu Morimoto.

It sucks Symon's talents are wasted on that blah ABC morning food show The Chew.

Shut the front door - he's pretty cool.

I am surprised at all of the Guy hate, it's a fun show and he's a fun host. I enjoy having it in the background.

So many hateful comments :(

I do like Giada, but most of the other shows seem too formulaic and staged. Also, don't like the host of Chopped. Iron chef is cool though.

Miss old school FN, though. East Meets West was awesome.

the food he spotlights nowadays is way better than the junk from the early seasons.

i usually have to look away from the screen when he eats because guy literally grosses me out

I don't like Guy Fieri at all, but I do watch the show a lot when I should be trying to go to sleep. He's an awful personality, but I enjoy seeing all the food being made. There are great restaurants and talented chefs seemingly everywhere. I'm amazed at how much he eats. He eats several items from each location, and it's not like he takes a bite or two to get a taste he can describe, he eats the whole damn thing.
