Guerrilla: GG's new IP won't be at E3 - not ready to show yet

I wouldn't expect Guerilla to have anything to show having recently released Killzone. Not going to get riled up, and will simply wait and see what they have to show.

Based on the new information this is what I'm predicting for Sony's E3 conference:

- Project Beast reveal, 2015 release
- The Last Guardian re-reveal for PS4, 2015 release
- Uncharted 4 trailer, 2015 release
- DriveClub trailer
- Infamous Second Son DLC trailer
- The Order: 1886 trailer and stage demo
- Assassin's Creed Unity trailer and stage demo
- Destiny trailer and stage demo
- BF Hardline trailer and stage demo
- Indie game showcase

Why would Second Son DLC be shown on the big stage when the game is already out.. That's something you announce on the PlayStation blog.

Predictions:

SALES NUMBERS.
- Project Beast
- The Last Guardian
- Uncharted
- DriveClub trailer
- The Order: 1886 stage demo
- Syphon Filter
- Destiny
- Batman: Arkham Knight
- Lily Bergamo
- Assassin's Creed: Unity
- Mortal Kombat X
- Indie game showcase

Nah, sounds like they have something to show but they don't want to risk a poor reaction. Especially after KZ: Shadow Fall. I don't blame them.

That said, here's hoping Sony doesn't pull the rug out from under them and do it anyway like they did with that goofy Twitch thing for The Order.

Lily Bergamo is absolutely 100% not going to be there on Sony's stage, I have no idea what fascinates people about that game, maybe its the desperation for Japanese content, but that'll be TGS.

People are weird sometimes. They want surprises, but also want to know there will be a surprise from x, y, and z. We are less than a week away. There have been 4 trademarks filed by Sony, TLG is still out there, there is plenty of room for surprises and no one has to tell you about them. Because in the end everyone is going to watch Monday night no matter how pessimistic they are.

Maybe it's just me, but you could tell from his tweet that he wasn't being serious.

But it was strange. Usually they just say they don't comment on rumours or they can't talk about upcoming projects; to lie about it so bluntly was a surprise.

I think it's good though. Kept it a surprise. Developers should lie about surprise announcements more often.

- Lily Bergamo

Wow. Someone remembered this game!

I hope we get some gameplay footage and a 2014 US release date!

wut? People can't be interested in one of the 2 upcoming character action games? Or the concept and art-style? Those who are interested in the game are waiting for gameplay footage.

And why do you think they'll wait until TGS to show or reveal any more information? The game was trademarked in the US before it was even revealed. It's going to be at E3 if it's still scheduled for 2014.

All this talk about Battlefield being at the Sony conference, thought Microsoft would want to keep the exclusive marketing/DLC from 2013 either that or it's just highest bidder.

Doesn't Microsoft have a marketing deal with EA? I'd assume Battlefield would show up at their conference like it did last year

Definitely will be shown:
- Pixelopus's Vita game
- Unannounced PS3/PS4 game ( based off Twitch stream listing )

Most likely will be shown (trademark):
- Kill Strain
- Entwined
- Bloodborne
- Guns Up!

( any of the trademarks above could also be related to Pixelopus or unannounced title #2 )

Educated guess reveals :
- Project Beast
- Sony San Diego Project #2 ( Modnation Team)
- Sony Bend ( 3 years since their last game )
- GoW Remaster and Beyond Two Souls Remaster

Please reveal, please :
- TLG
This was very helpful. Thank you for compiling this!

Or maybe it's because it was trademarked in the US and it's due to release this year?

Well, they've got two teams. It sounds like they just need a little more time to work on it and they'll reveal it. Can't imagine it would be too much longer before we hear something.

Wow.. no Media Molecule, SSM or Guerrilla at Sony's Press Conference?

This E3 is going to suck for Sony. Disappointing.

They released Shadow Fall barely a year ago. Expecting a reveal of their new game so soon after is foolish i think. People need to keep their expectations in check.

It´s funny when people list the games that Sony is making for their platforms, everyone forgets Gravity Rush 2 for Vita, which will be one of the highlights of the show.

Ah, true. All the newspiece said was that it was composed of some student devs who used to make game prototypes for Vita.

Nope. It said that some of the members were students who got internships and offered jobs at Pixelopus. They previously had done game prototypes for the Vita.

Pixelopus is not just made up of student devs, some of them were hired. Others are developers who have worked in the industry for quite some time. It would be a bit worrying to have a team that is completely made up of new people with very little experience.

If someone doesn't list a game, there's a good chance they're not hyped for it. For instance, Gravity Rush 2 looks fun to me...but I don't even own a Vita.

Looking at the Reddit AMA Cambridge doesn't seem to be up to much helping with DLC for SF. Hopefully they're working on something more substantial.

In the AMA he said
Guerrilla Amsterdam is more than 200 people, and Guerrilla Cambridge is a little under 70, at last count, though come to think of it, it's high time I asked HR that question again...

So I don't see how they could have something close to release considering both Amsterdam and Cambridge released games last fall.

No, we won't be showing it right now. Simple reason: we are confident enough in the game, but it's not something we can show and expect reasonable feedback. There is simply a lot of work that we need to do before we show it to our fans.

So is this GAF's fault? :)

It looked interesting enough for me to be gerard Pique'd. I don't think it's going to be there, either, however i'd love some more info on it :)

They still have
  • everyone's gone to rapture
  • rise of the beast
  • the witness
  • the other japanese looking cel shaded game made with UE4
  • Uncharted
  • the order
  • driveclub
  • indies
  • 3rd parties

2011 - Killzone 3
2013 - Killzone: Mercenary
2013 - Killzone Shadowfall

Give em a break. They might be wizards, but these things, they take time.

It's shame how often neglected that game is when talking about E3 line-ups. If Gravity Rush 2 makes an appearance during the conference then that will personally be considered a major highlight.

Also they'll probably show a couple of SOE games (PS2 and H1Z1), so their line-up pre-e3 isn't that dry.

Anyway, i don't know if i want someone (sony itself or some insider) to give us some assurances for Sony's presser, or if it's better they keep absolute silence and then wow us at E3.

Having a trailer ready and showing said trailer are not the same.

Not necessarily, as he said - plans change all the time, they may not show it even if they have something ready.
For instance TGS was going to be the original Project Beast reveal last year but it got pushed to E3 I guess.
Understood, except he also said Sony can decide to throw it into their conference if they really wanted to, which seems worded as if GG somewhat planned the trailer for E3 but haven't decided if it's ready for us. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I doubt anyone has a clue what Sony has planned for E3.

Trailers can be made without the game being 'ready-to-show.'

Halo 5, Killzone 2, God of War 3, even Sunset Overdrive are all examples of trailers that were shown without an ounce of game-code from the developers on the event itself.
That's my point. I don't think anyone realistically expects to see gameplay. But a trailer? That's different.

im infact getting more and more confident about sony's conference. If they can come out and say so and so wont be there shows they have enough anyway.

i honestly didnt expect ggs new ip to be shown
i did think media molecules could be releaved tho but they might have pushed it back to combat qb gameplay at gamescon.

My expecations on the aaa front are:

order more gameplay
uncharted 4 big trailer/gameplay (2015 release)
project beast trailer (possible 2014 but def 2015 otherwise release)

one of these should end up happening:
sony bend or sony london studio ip teased or TLG (if this is shown it will be a 2014 or latest fall 2015 release. They wont it if its too early.)

Gotta make room for Wonderbook 2
wonderbookps3movee3cow67uy.gif

In all seriousness I'm a bit saddened the new IP by GG will not be there as well as MM not showing something but I can't believe that Sony would go to the effort of cinema presentations if something important was being shown.

I am always fine with "its ready when its ready" while they are still working on it.. (for any house)

People forget that jaffe outright lied about showing something

Now im not saying they're lying but they arent just gonna outright confirm everything either

i am definitely intrigued on what everyone's gone to rapture is and what it will play like. Esp wasn't it a few days ago someone tweeted that the new engine or the game is shaping up real nice on ps4? maybe a hint for E3 debut?
