Putting it out on Vita will really give it a chance to recoup all of the development costs! Sony should just sell the IP to Nintendo for the Wii U while they are at it.

But ok. Let's put some logic into this.

- TLG is simply too big and too hyped of a game to be cancelled, right?
- Do you think Sony would allow for this to become public less than 48 hours BEFORE their E3 conference?
- Yoshida and several other Sony execs have openly stated the game is still in production.

If true, this is awful news. But I'll still wait for E3 to see if it's not just a prank.

And if it IS a prank. IGN, get ready 'cause you're gonna be on my black list....

Chances are the team had some missed deadline, asked for another extension, failed to deliver a playble demo, etc and the head of the proyect decided that enough is enough and canceled it. It would not surprise me if they were working on some demo for E3 and when they saw what shitshow the game was, they not only janked it from the schedule but abandoned the project all together.
