Grand Theft Auto V - Coming for PS4, Xbox One and PC this Fall - Trailer

Hype. GTA V was phenominal, looked incredible too on the current gen although you could see it was straining in places with muddy textures and a few framerate hiccups - so looking forward to seeing it let of it's leash.

Just to be debbie downer for a second;
It's kind of messed up we get a next gen and PC announcement before heists have been added to online (which were teased in the initial GTA:O trailer...).

Great idea with transferring Online characters. One of the benefits of saving everything to the Social Club 'Cloud'. Plus people would be pissed if they spent (wasted) money on the cash cards and wouldn't have access to it on next gen.

Today we're proud to announce that the critically-acclaimed and record-breaking Grand Theft Auto V is coming this fall to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation®4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.

Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover.

The new generation upgrades also extend to Grand Theft Auto Online, an ever-evolving Grand Theft Auto universe. Rise through the criminal ranks by banding together to complete Jobs for cash, purchase properties, vehicles and character upgrades, compete in traditional competitive modes, or create your own content to play and share with the Grand Theft Auto community.

All new content and gameplay created since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online, including an extensive array of new Jobs, an arsenal of new weapons, scores of new vehicles, new properties and player customizations will also be available for the PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One and PC with much more to come. In addition, the current community of players will have the ability to transfer their Grand Theft Auto Online characters and progression to their choice of PlayStation®4, Xbox One or PC.

Grand Theft Auto V for PC will also feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making.

Well, no real reason to hold onto my PS3 now that GTAV is coming in the fall. Time to find the best trade in deal!

Thank you Rockstar, I'm sorry I said those bad things about your PC and want to buy you dinner and cheap wine.

Now to give my borrowed copy back and talk myself to sleep until the requirements are out. Then waiting to build a new PC shall pay off...

Well it's a good thing I didn't buy the PS3 version. Thanks for the beta testing it for me PS3 owners, I will enjoy the definitive version this fall on the PS4. LOL

The franchise started on PC, every iteration has come to PC (other than the handheld games).

Game would never come to PC.

I have a hard time following this logical leap.

I had some doubts, especially considering it uses both the disk drive and internal storage to load the game. I'd think it would be a generation ending game that would stay there.

I can't wait to see some High-Res texture mods for the PC version, like on GTA4!

Just need for Rockstar to drop arbitrary DRM and it will truly be Shaq.gif

Your logical leaps become more and more difficult to follow.

Let's hope that they actually try to optimize the PC port. GTAIV was dreadful. Wasn't there a job listing asking for PC engineers right around the time the game was released?

After Watch Dogs and Assassins Creed Pirates, I just don't know anymore. I guess the key is that those were both Ubi Soft.

Citing Ubisoft games for performance requirements?

Let's think about this logically, you have a processor and a GPU that eclipses both the PS4 and XBO.

GTAIV is considered to be one of the worst ports of all time, while Max Payne 3 is very good.

I know we can transfer profiles, but how bout game saves...yeah right huh.

I don't really want to play through it again, even though I really enjoyed the game.

If you're talking about how sluggish the movement feels, 60fps will make a difference there.

No I'm talking about their locomotion, cover, combat, and animation systems in general. Increased framerate alone won't help, but another year of dev time could. All the other improvements are great, and lawd knows that extra RAM will help a ton, but it won't really matter to me if it feels exactly the same.

As some one who spent a lot of time not cheating and not paying extra to get everything she obtained in the game, I'm glad they are letting me port over progress. Honestly, it would be a little discouraging if I had to do all that over again just to get back to where I was before.

Agree. I played clean I like my character and her progress and like that I have the option to bring it over to whichever next gen version I want

Please let my single-player save file transfer.

Not a big fan of the game, but I would finish it in 1080p/60fps, if only for the visual splendor.

Graphical improvements look way substantial than I expected. I thought it would be a quick and dirty 1080p port.

Will PS4 and Xbox One perform the same? Last gen, Rockstar was very balanced with performing equally between the consoles.

I haven't finished it on PS3 and the ability to transfer my save game file to the PS4 will definitely get me to double-dip.

Awesome! So I can transfer my X360 save to the PC! I can finally play the definitive version!

Going to wait for that steam sale in December!

Seeing this trailer reminds me of how incredible it was for Rockstar to pull off GTAV on PS3 and 360.

I'll be playing this on a next gen console but watching Twitch streams of PC players. Mods and 60fps is how this game should be played but I just cant justify the cost of a gaming PC.

Why do people want to transfer their single player save? (Which you're probably not going to be able to do). We're all going to replay it anyway aren't we? Why buy it if you're not.
