Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer 2

Guys. Am I the only one who noticed this?

Father and Son.

1. They look very much a like, with obvious age difference.

2. Jason passively complained about the older guy not say "Love you, Jason.", after he's sent to get the money.

I haven't seen anyone else mention this.
That is possible. Son living there for free sort of thing, and the passive aggressive "paying tenants" that a parent would do/say.

My thoughts exactly, his tounge-in-cheek comment on paying tenants gave me flashbacks to interactions with my own family, as well as the tone & delivery in just bring me my checks

His name is Brian Heder. How the hell is he supposed to be Jasons father??

You can ready it in the characters bios.

Could be Uncle who raised him, partially.

OR. Jason's mother could have taken primary guardianship of him, until something happened that sent him towards Brian.

It's possible, as I have my mother's last name, instead of my father's.

Playing Mafia 3 now and while there's plenty that isn't great here, the driving IS great. Gonna start to sound like a broken record now but...

It's the right balance of realism and fun, there's real weight to the cars when driving but never annoying, it feels really good, not stiff, nor nowhere near as loose and arcadey as GTA V. I truly hope VI changes that. But it probably will.

Look at how realistic and "sluggish" RDR2 felt, now there's no way it will be as realistic as that because I just can't see that for GTA but hopefully the cars have weight, not so loose as V. Oh and I hope they add a hood view cam, I love using it in Mafia. And the "ram" option is damn fun too, wouldn't mind something like that. They are all under the same publisher and can learn from one another.

The driving does feel great in M3, especially Lincoln's car. Some of the driving trophies are pretty fun to get as well.

Especially with that soundtrack in the background.

Hell yeah, that soundtrack is absolutely fantastic. So many good songs.

The OST is great as well. That is the ONE game I'm so fearful of getting songs eventually patched out because their licensing time was up. God knows how much they paid to have Hendrix playing at the fucking title screen.

Gameplay

— 6 star wanted level returns.

— Relationship bar mentioned in the 2022 leaked clips still exists. Works like honour in RDR2.

— Weight mechanics are a thing.

— Explorable underwater areas with treasure and secrets

— Trailer 2 scene where Jason buys beer is gameplay

— Greet and antagonise is in the game

— The character wheel has three options: Solo Jason, Solo Lucia and Dual protagonist control where Lucia/Jason can be controlled at the same time to rob together in the open world. Some missions are also started using the two of them at once.

— Rectangle GPS with pink waypoints.

— Jason has a dead eye like ability - slows down time and reveals weak spots. Lucia can do it but one shot. Source said this is apparently super bad and they hope it gets changed, it's meant to show how Jason is a better shot than Lucia due to his time in the army

— People react to having your gun out.

— Male strippers are in the game.

— Driving is best it's ever been.

— Gore/dismemberment is being built off of RDR2.

— Limited weapon system returns. Stored in trunk.

Characters

— Donnie, Jason's friend who works for Brian and is described as a "freak"

Map

— The map is once again an Island

— No panhandle

— Enterable shopping malls and skyscrapers with lifts.

— 700+ shops and most interiors of a major open world game. (This is the one I'm most iffy about.)

Story and Missions

Not gonna spoil much here.

— Game has chapters like RDR2, 5 chapters in total. Shots from Trailer 2 were all from Chapters 1-3

Cut/non-existent content

— No fully nude sex scenes

— Listening to music outside of a car apparently isn't a thing.

— Prone was cut a while ago.

— Dual wielding weapons isn't in the game.

— No Disney world parody

— No burglary mini-game

This one sounds false, trailer2 follows Jason around, and all of the music heard while in the car is also heard while Jason is on foot, just a little bit quieter. That plus the fact that the characters are both shown with airpods in their ears shows that there will likely be music and radio stations outside of the car

Is that a reputable source? I really hope it's not true that they removed prone, that looked so cool in the leaked gameplay and traditional cover, is that like how the newer Tomb Raider games do it? And we can't listen to music outside of cars, wtf is the point of the airpods then in the trailer?

Doubt.

Are they still saying GTA VI is going to be woke. The game centered around a heterosexual couple that showed off the female characters assets in the trailer is woke according to them?
