Is that epic serving of crow still being worked on?

In light of this, TLG is clearly not dead.

Hence the need to serve crow on an epic scale. I have decided One Chef is simply not enough for such a task. So I've decided to use the 'Brigade de Cuisine' system of Chef Titles so that we have a line of authority and distinct duties.

Y2Kev appears to be very hungry and has placed a large order with us, so we have a lot of preperation to do. Roll up your sleves ladies and gents.

Chef de Cuisine (Head Chef): iratA
Sous-Chef (Second-in-command): M_Night
Chef de Partie (Line cooks): Psycho_Mantis, Sidewinder + all Special Members

Y2Kev has ordered multiple servings of Crow from this thread lets get it plated:

Is this interview up?

All you people in here who keep spouting stuff like "it's dead" or "it's cancelled," it's becoming more and more obvious to me that you're just trying to convince yourselves that it's cancelled, because deep down you really do believe it's still alive (as you should, because it is alive). It's just that your feelings of impatience are bringing out all this negativity. What you guys need to do is just breath, and relax. Because the game is not cancelled. It's in development, and you will play it one day.

Um maybe you missed it Mr. "Steve Youngblood" (aka known Xbot M$ fanboy), but someone twooted a twooter to say that TLG is aliver than Syrio Forel and Benjen Stark put together and Y2Kev is a liar.

Well, now that I've been outed, let me tell you about the Master Chief Collection, friends.

I think I know myself pretty well. I've had a relationship with myself for over twenty years.

Lol, I don't know what's real anymore.

TLG... if you exist... you'll make my parents get me an N64 for Christmas.

Amen.

... I love you.

Damn, and I wonder why there are so many atheists. We are getting info from dozens of people that the game is in-development and yet people keep ******* about it that it is not real, just a few days ago too we got another confirmation.

If you don't want to play the game, then fine, but don't come here screaming like a kid "It doesn't exist, it ain't happenin.", you just make yourself look dumb. They will announce it when the feel like it, it is their game and their responsibility.

See you in 6 years at the launch of PS5 mate.

I bought my PS3 at launch for MGSIV and The Last Guardian. MGSIV was a fine game, and I appreciate the Ico/SotC HD Collection greatly, but I can't help but feel a little cheated.

Maybe someday my young PS4 will get to know the joy its father was supposed to.

Sony: "It's not cancelled, it's still in development, now let us never show footage and keep saying it's in development with only our word being evidence that it's in development"

I'd prefer they just out and say "It's cancelled" so Ico can work on something new and we can get excited over that instead of this

Is this entire thread just a big in-joke? TLG is confirmed, and was also confirmed as not being at the conference ahead of time.

How can you confirm something that you have no proof of? What evidence exists that this game is still being worked on? Show something from the game that hasn't already been seen yet and maybe people will start believing again.

Technically, Team ICO only exists if Ueda is running a big project. Sort of like how your lap only exists when you're sitting down.

Ueda no longer works for Sony. He works as a consultant for TLG. When the TLG is finished, or cancelled, Team ICO ceases to exist.

I am saying that despite millions of proofs people still don't believe that there is ever going to be The Last Guardian

Firstly, what I was angling at is was your original post insinuating that atheism is directly analogous to not believing in the existence of The Last Guardian? Because that's what I took from it.

Secondly, all fun and jokes aside, I don't think that it's impossible to believe that the project still exists in the sense that there is some money and personnel making -- or at least attempting to make -- progress. However, we've seen projects enter into development hell before. Sometimes, they eventually resurface. Sometimes, they are even completed. However, after a certain period of time with nothing to show for it, I think you have to expect that some people are going to become a little pessimistic about the outlook of the project.

Maybe some of us are bad people by having some fun with the situation. But the flip side is that "how can you not believe that this is still a thing when people are telling you that it's still a thing!? What prove could you possibly need!? There's a person telling you that it's still in development! Case closed!" is also not a strong position here. You know how you silence the people laughing? You show the game. You put a controller in someone's hand and let them play it. Barring that, you can really only let those having a hearty laugh have their fun and hope they eventually get their comeuppance.

Man fuck this. They finally did me in. Yes I'm one of those naive children who for the past 5 years went "THIS IS THE YEAR" and I was slightly more confident this year. Oh I have now seen the error of my ways and I'm amazed it took me this long to give up

This was the year. Last Guardian announced tonight with a gameplay demo with it coming out winter 2014. It felt so right. I wanted to believe with all my heart.

I was so, so wrong.

i saw catbird in a vision last night

this morning i saw him in my toast {her if catbird is a girl}

i also saw catbird when I watched an episode of happy days

glorious catbird is everywhere, tis a sign that the last guardian shall be revealed soon, showing us unwashed heathens the light

So, uh, if TLG never gets released and HL3 never gets released, what the hell happens to my dollar? lol

I was really hoping to see it in some form this year. Lost an avatar bet because of it. Please do not judge me by my avatar.

Personally, I think you came out a winner. Not everyone uses a Neptunia avatar and it's a goddamn shame too as not only are the characters cute, Neptunia games actually get released in a timely fashion~

My bad. Either way, whoever Sony says is working on TLG should be allowed to work exclusively on other projects if Sony's not going to commit one way or the other. I don't know who they have working on it, so for all I know, it could be 8 designers and Ueda who work on the weekend while working on other Sony projects during the week

I understand your position and thank you for your post. Yes, I am fully aware that TLG got stuck pretty bad and had to be re-worked, maybe multiple times, but since this is now one of the most famous games and people have been asking for it for years then it is in Sony's best interest to release it, if only for the sake of honour. If they were to cancel TLG now they would lose face and Microsoft, Nintendo and other companies would immediately start their campaign of "we keep our promises, our games are real". So, they can't really afford to cancel it, they will work on it and release it and maybe they will not get their money's worth until the 3rd re-release for PS6, but they will still work on it and have it released one day.

When they mentioned it to Jack beforre the conference he seemed to be surprised that sony said it wasnt dead...he kind of laughed at the idea of it showing

I think you vastly overestimate the importance of this title. I think the reaction of the game-playing populace at large to the sad news that The Last Guardian has been cancelled would be one of "What is/was The Last Guardian?"
