Grand Theft Auto V - Coming for PS4, Xbox One and PC this Fall - Trailer

This still looks degrees better, but the original trailors still looked awesome. Rockstar always makes awesome looking trailors. When I'm on a a computer i might try to find similar shots and match them

Yeah I'm comparing now and the textures in this new trailer look MUCH better. Holy crap.

After being mindlblown by the little details of Watch Dogs, it will be hard for me not to compare these two games on PC.

Can't wait for this.

My guess is this is an early engine for the new round of consoles. So probably built along w the last gen versions.

The last gen versions were producing a comparable number of vehicles on the highway. The only problem is that after playing for a while, the same two vehicles were appearing over and over because of memory limitations.

I really think it's going to be Rockstar Social Club involved- whatever your progress on that could potentially transfer over?

I have a feeling that all versions of GTAV will be linked together through the players' Rockstar Social Club account.

GTAV looks glorious running on higher end hardware. Outside of a better framerate and improved screen resolution, you can already see higher resolution textures, improved lighting, better draw distance, an improved LOD and a higher volume of traffic and pedestrians on screen. The game almost looks unrecognizable from the PS360 versions. The trailer really shows off the striking visual differences.

I would love to see some WebM's of the night time traffic scenes.

Can't wait to see the minimum/recommended system requirements. I only played through the storyline of V once and lasted an hour in GTA Online. I played GTA IV many more times over the years than i have played V since i have had it in October of last year.

Will hopefully recapture the magic when the pc version is released.

My pc ran GTA IV like a dream, and even better after i tweaked the settings to match my computer's specs. I hope i don't need to upgrade anything for V.

IDK, that continuous stream of vehicles at the end of the trailer looks way more dense than what PS360 GTAV was doing. The only time I saw that was if I blocked traffic, and even then there was a clear cutoff point.

That memory bug spawning the SUV was incredibly annoying though. Really soured me on my last few hours with the game.

Trading this and TLOU in tomorrow for store credit. Can't wait to get these again on PS4.

EDIT: Hey, Rockstar. Replace Inc's "The Place" with "5 Days" as it is the superior Inc song.

A lot actually. The question is why would anyone bother buying non EA games from there.

I'd say "some". Availability varies somewhat between regions, but as far as Origin AU is concerned, there about 40 third-party games/DLC compared to EA's ~300.

The trailer version is way better, no doubt. Just saying whatever Rockstar did with the highways in the game worked well even on last gen.

The scene with Franklin walking down the sidewalk in this trailer showed way more pedestrians in one spot (not just walking around) than I've seen though. Hopefully there's never any sparse/dead zones where there shouldn't be this time around.

PC version is all I need. Looking forward to the modding capabilities and all those delicious settings options!

I really want someone to take off the cops out of the game. I'd say that is pretty much my number one the list as to why I wanted the game on PC.

That kind of ruin the fun for sometimes on consoles.

I'm not sure what they would do for the XBox One and PS4 versions of the game, but if the PC version is anything like GTAIV on the PC, then there will probably be a traffic density slider. When the traffic is set to max in the PC version of GTAIV well exceeds what you see in the console versions of the game.

So glad I waited to play this until it came to PC. It was always just a matter of time. Going to look so fucking amazing on my rig.

Gotta say I'm a bit bummed it's a fall release when all those other games are gonna be coming out. Tough to justify spending a lot of time on a game I beat last year. Summer would have been really perfect.

2014 is too packed. AC, BF, CoD, Sunset Overdrive, Forza, Driveclub, Halo, GTA, Destiny, sports games, and others I forget right now. I mean fuck man at least space out the remasters like they did with Last of Us.

Yea July would have been great

I think lighting look just a tad less natural, not sure.
Either way, day one on PS4.
This is going to be one expensive fall...

As a rare bird who though the multiplayer was really fun (played very non-seriously and only with real life friends), I ended up with 40 hours logged on that and maybe 20 on single player, which I hadn't finished. Totally on board with buying this on PS4 (and likely PC on sale eventually) especially with MP progress carrying over. Will replay (and finish) the single player at that point.

Thought the game was really quite impressive, technical quibbles aside, on the PS3 so the thought of a proper version is very exciting.

Happy I got this for 360 as I love it and the thought of a second play through on new hardware AND carrying my MP chracter over has got me hyped!

Seriously though, it took me a minute to realize what I was watching, and I had no problem figuring out phantom dust and crackdown 3. I was just like wow, this looks really good, hmm, wonder what this....OH SHIT GTA 5 NEXT GEN. lol. I can't even imagine what wizardry they will pull off with a true next gen title.

Hmmm? To double dip or not to double dip? And I did delete my data when I sold my copy when I traded in my 360. Wouldn't mind doing everything again though

I know they mentioned 360/PS3 ----> PS4/and Im gonna assume Xbox One as well for character transfers, will be able to go from 360/PS3 ------> PC as well?

I hope they push pedestrian density to absurd levels, as much as the engine can handle it. I wanna see the beaches and sidewalks really dense. My dream scenario for this gen is for Rockstar to reenact the Collateral club shootout with dozens of people going nuts and a ridiculous traffic jam outside.

Dense crowds, man. Getting me more excited than any other feature this E3.
