Grand Theft Auto V - Coming for PS4, Xbox One and PC this Fall - Trailer

But why all the way in the fall?? -_-

So they could milk last gen.

Also, this assures them more people will own current gen consoles in the future with all the bundles and new games coming out.

PLUS, they probably think this news is going to make us anticipate that launch so much, that we will forget about the heist DLC we have been patiently (not really) waiting for. Hope I'm wrong, but I'm guessing they will release that along with the current gen releases. Here goes another record setting launch for rockstar.. And most people will be double dipping, including me.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but the vie theater stream was at 60fps -- and GTAV was clearly running at 30.

Perhaps it was just te way the trailer was encoded, but either way, I'm not expecting 60fps.

Now that it's coming to PC i expect all those GTA V vs Watch Dogs comparisons to show how terribly lacking WD "true next gen experience" is.

I guess I can be excited for this game and consider it a brand new game, I passed on the PS3 version...now I just need to see whether I should get the PC or PS4 version.(all depends on the optimization)

I have:

I72600K@4.6GHZ
8GBDDR@1600MHZ
GTX 670 SLI 4GB
Windows 7 Ultimate

Those who are planning to get this on next gen consoles, why are you exited for this? I'm pretty burnt out on gta v, played alot of it on the ps3 as well as the online. The online itself is a bore fest
if you don't have friends to play with
.

Don't know about others but I sold my copy along with my 360 in october after finishing the game. Haven't played it since.

I barely touched it on my Xbox 360. Not thrilled about plunking down another 60 bucks on it. I do want to give it a proper play-through at some point. I'm not liking the all-too-common tactic of making last-gen version while not announcing that the next-gen version is on the way.

Wonder what specs will be required and if the PC port will be decent

Time to double dip again. I will be getting the PC version for Modding/ cranking up the graphics as high as my GTX 680 will let me. I will be getting the PS4 version for GTA Online. I'm afraid that the PC version will be a cesspool of cheaters as I assume at this point the PC version will be much easier to hack and the PS4 version will largely remain unsullied. The PS3 version right now is bad enough with all the auto-aim hacks players are using right now with modified playstations.

The only problem with the PS4 version I can see at this point will be the broken economy thanks to character transfers, mainly referring to the people who are already at high levels or / have billions in cash/level 300+ thanks to glitching for example.

I'm still mad that is was effectively a full year delay, and everything about the GTA Online structure is a completely fucked pay-to-have-fun nightmare - but man, I really can't wait to get my hands on this. I played through the game in about a week of non-stop play sessions back in September, and had a disgusting amount of fun with it. Never got into online, only did the relevant side content, still put in about 35 hours total. Haven't touched it since (borrowed a friend's PS3 to play) - but I've got an itch building that ONLY GTA V could scratch. Or Sleeping Dogs 2. But fucking Square-Enix decided that E3 was the ideally stage to shit themselves upon, so we probably won't see that until Gamescom.

Maybe it says something about the number of games coming out this Fall that my most anticipated PC title is my 4th-favorite release from last year.

We saw some cross-gen titles this E3, but this is the only new version of an already released last gen game, IIRC. At least in the conferences, anyways.

Your PC will probably run it better than a PS4 but I wouldn't be surprised with awful optimization from Rockstar.

Usually I find the frustration with these sorts of games isn't that it runs worse than the current gen versions, but that my PC should be running it much better than it does.

Kind of scummy how Sony implied it was a exclusive by saying you could transfer your save data from X360. Andrew House rubs me the wrong way. He sounds like a weasel.

Anyway, probably pick this up for X1 or PS4. I ended up just watching my roommate play through the game and barely touched it myself.

Great news for PC gamers, but it irritates me they thought this was a substantial announcement for the Sony conference.

I think it was, at least anecdotally looking at social media this seemed to have made the biggest splash at E3 so far, except maybe the Halo stuff.

Never bought it for Last Gen because I was waiting for Next-Gen :)

It was my favourite game of last year when I played it on PS3, and probably in my to 10 favourite games ever.

So given the chance to play it again with even a marginal graphical/performance improvement on my PS4, I'm all over that.

Will sell my PS3 copy and upgrade.

Not only have I not played this (held out for an X1 version) but I haven't fully played a GTA game since GTA3!

Shoukd be pretty fun for me.

How did that imply that it was exclusive? If it were exclusive they would just say it, they wouldn't imply it. A lot of prior 360 owners are buying PS4s so that's probably why it's an option.

Kind of freaked out, was wondering what game was looking so good, then I saw the billboard and started to suspect, then I saw Trevor and my jaw hit the floor.

So pumped. Purposely didn't finish GTAV on 360 because I was waiting for a PS4 version.

Will be absolutely fantastic.

Great news to wake upto on Tuesday!

Will buy it day one. Just not sure on either XB1/PS4, and I'll be abusing the hell out of it to get a billion dollars per character again.

I left out all the exploration stuff on my 360 and 100%'ing the game in hope this would happen.

Nobody should expect any big open world game like this to be 60 fps even on really high end PCs, especially considering the how different the architecture of the hardware is that it's being ported to.

same. didn't get the chance to really burn myself out on it. put around 40 hours or so in.

Yep, finished the campaign and some side activities, played some online to see how it was and sold it.

Been waiting for this announcement since I got my PS4, now I just wanna know the details.

1080p? 60fps? Improvements? I think Andrew House mentioned some new details or something like that.

From the trailer I'd say GTAV might be in the running for the best looking PS4 game to date.

I own the PS3 version but have been too busy with other games to make much progress, so I'm just gonna wait for the PS4 version. Looks incredible.

Remastering games that are five minutes old is a waste of time and money. I hope this lame fad goes away soon.

This game NEEDED it.

One of the best games ever made, but ran like dogshit and looked just as bad on PS3/360. With a better framerate and resolution this will be the definitive version.

Rockstar were held back by last gen consoles.

Lol, what? Either you don't know what implied means, or you have a very active imagination.

The US was 360 territory last gen, I think giving people the option to upgrade a save from 360 to PS4 is a great idea, considering many 360 owners are upgrading to PS4 rather than Xb1.

Cant watch the video

Are the textures in higher resolution or are there any additional effects ?

Better textures, better lighting, better shadows, some kind of new (I think) lense flare effect at night, better resolution (on PS4 and PC at least), seemingly very good AA, and MUCH higher traffic density. Like a realistic amount of traffic and that's impressive considering how packed the real LA highways are.

even if i build a pc with a 780 the game wont run at 60 ? 60 fps is the only reason i would rebuy this game.

Only if it requires substantial resources which slows down development of new titles. If it doesn't it's a great way of generating profit while also appealing to a more demanding crowd.

I don't care if nobody believes me when I say this but those two clips impressed me the most of anything I've seen out of E3 2014 so far.

That's just fucking gorgeous with the traffic density.

I'd be fine with native 1080p and framerate absolutely locked at 30 FPS on PS4.
