I would have been fine with that tbh.
It's a cutscene, not actual gameplay.
Have you ever played a Naughty Dog game? The cutscenes always looked way better.
Granted its just trailer that leaves a lot to speculation but
1) wasn't it heavily rumored that you wouldn't be playing as drake? Guess that's dead
2) I don't like the whole "just one more time" thing not even because it foreshadows someone dying but because wasn't that pretty much the whole crux of Uncharted 3? That he goes on these escapades while thoughtlessly putting his friends lives in danger for no real reason. Didn't he supposedly learn some shit at the end about not having to do that shit cuz he has nothing to prove? Just feels like more validation that UC3 was a bit subpar
Do like that they're going back to the jungle tho
It sounds like he's been out of the game for a while and maybe something happens to Elena or a potential child that pulls him back in. Fits with the text description they gave us.Granted its just trailer that leaves a lot to speculation but

1. This was a lame speculation from people who don't like UC games and for that reason want to turn them into something else. It's clear as day that UC = Nathan Drake and Nathan Drake = UC. It's the same as saying that you won't play as Lara in the next Tomb Raider.
2. Not really. UC3 was about Nate dealing with his past a bit. UC4 seems to be about Nate returning to the ways he has left in the end of UC3.
Also - don't even think about buying this "just one more time" and "End" in the title - UC4 won't be the last UC for sure. It may be the last from ND though.
I think the more life like he looks and ages, the EVEN more he looks like Nathan Fillon
I also really saw Nate Fillion. Like, I have to actively acknowledge he isn't NF when watching the teaser trailer. Never saw it before.
Also, I'm self-plagiarizing a post because it's relevant -
I don't know if the original voiceover teaser and yesterday's teaser-trailer are two disparate works, but it sure seems like they are. I was a hell of a lot more interested in one of Nate's former allies he inadvertently wronged seeking revenge on him than I am in Nate and Sully pulling "one last score." Although it's possible the two are concurrent plots within the same narrative, it seems like the loss and replacement of Hennig, Wells, the voice talent, et cet shifted the story.
The character that narrated the first teaser is still in the came, it was just re-cast. I don't see how the 2 teasers are mutually exclusive in terms of plot.
I will assume this trailer was pre rendered. Developers are very careful with the words they used. "Captured from PS4" does not mean it is in engine. If it was in engine, you can be sure as hell they would want you to know.
My only other input? I'm gutted about the time they're setting it. I was really into the idea of playing as the ancestor who wrote the notebook and seeing places in their prime.
All footage you see in the trailer was captured completely in engine. Thats Nathan Drake rendered in 1080p full glory using the power of our PS4 engine. All footage you see in the trailer was captured completely in engine.

That's in game!!!!
Troy Baker has taken that spot, any bets?![]()
Where? In-engine points to pre-rendered. Real time is the word you are looking for, haven't heard it once. It's not prerendered. The devs have confirmed it, multiple times, multiple different ways, some in the very thread you're posting in.
No.That is above pixar quality
Surprised by the amount of people freaking out about the graphics in this thread. Lets not jump to conclusions. Yes, it looked really good, but if it's all about relatively narrow environments (if it's anything like the previous Uncharted games, and it's safe to assume that it is) then shouldn't it have looked even better? Assassin's Creed Unity and Batman Arkham Knight also looked pretty incredible and they're open-world games. Maybe my expectations were too high. But then those games were also running at 30fps from the look of it, so maybe it would basically look like CG if it was 30? Maybe the game will actually be expansive and still look like that (or probably even better by next year). Here's hoping. Though I am glad it seems to be the last Uncharted. Let's send it off on a high note and Naughty Dog can move on to something else.
Likely. Probably some fun Pirate adventure. Wouldn't be surprised if they stripped most of it to go with this dark angle. Could be potentially good I guess.I guess Amys version were a lot happier is my guess.
Rewatch the uncharted 2 teaser. It was even more serious than this one.I guess Amys version were a lot happier is my guess.

Exactly my thoughts..

In-engine is the new buzz word for "Legally Accepted CG". Keep the pressure on and we'll eventually upgrade to "non-interactive realtime cutscene graphics".
