E3 2014 | Nintendo Digital Event

Welp the event sort of ended, even though they're still revealing things in the aftermath. But oh well.

Nintendo: 8/10 - They had a lot of bizarre comedy that was greatly appreciated. Nice to see them mix it up a bit. All the games look fantastic. Zelda blew me away. Smash gonna be awesome, and Amiibo looks pretty neat. Too bad just about everything is 2015.. :(

That was fantastic. Wow. Very good conference. Cannot wait for so many of those games.

No F-Zero, no Metroid, no Custom Robo, no Golden Sun, no new veterans in Smash, fucking Mii as 3 characters, no surprise besides Bayo 1, Canvas Curse and Captain Toad.

Well, I wished for more but my expectations were basically: New mario, zelda, pokemon, kirby and that's about it. Saw the Stafox thing, interesting and I want to see how that goes later.

Anyway, pretty boring E3 overall.

My ratings:

Nintendo: A
Microsoft: B
Sony: C

I didn't expect such a charming show from Nintendo. This was the most fun to watch and they have some good stuff lined up.

What a fantastic show, bitch I'm on the floor.

And the games are still coming, Fantasy Life yas.

I NEED TO COLLECT MYSELF

Was definitely a good conference...but damnit if I wasn't just waiting for a Metroid teaser, and I wish I hadn't been because when Xenoblade popped up I immediately thought for a second that it was Metroid and got all excited...but it's not.

Honestly though, Metroid burning aside, a great conference, and hey...they're still announcing more stuff...could still maybe happen.

I thought it was really awesome! :D So many cool games. Sad that many were 2015 because its so far away. :( But there's still some cool stuff coming soon and now lots to look forward to.

Whether you think Nintendo won E3 based on it's games (a hint, it did, but even if you don't think so) can we at least admit that Nintendo won for most entertaining "conference"?

I would say so. I liked seeing the developers talk about their games in the different locations, and I liked the Robot Chicken interludes.

Oh, and no "timed exclusive DLC!!" followed by fucking applause by the audience. -_-

Well I'm a happy Wii U owner, though I might look into cryogenic freezing until "2015".

Love the look of Splatoon, and I normally hate FPS and online only games.

Love the style of Zelda. Toad game looks like fun, as does Mario Maker. I really enjoyed that Yoshi touch screen game on DS so I'll like Kirby by the looks of it and Yoshi.

I've never played Bayonetta so I'll happily pick that up if I get two games. Not too bothered about HW.

Plus, I'm a total sucker for collectible figures, so that's nice.

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to be hyped when I can't even hear the games or see them because I'm having to listen to them and read subtitles between them cutting back and forth between the devs.

Nintendo will release more trailers during/after e3, they always do.

I feel like Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 1-2, and Smash 4 and Amibo is pretty nice for this year plus 2015 looks incredible. On top of this we will still get directs throughout the year with possibly more new game announcements. I think they did pretty well.

I really liked the look of Yoshi's Wooly World, I didn't get to see the Toad game as the stream died for a few minutes for me.

MS 8.5

SONY 7.0

NINTENDO 8.5

gotta give it to nintendo. They know how to make games look fun. Both MS and Nintendo tie for me, but the upcoming smash tourney makes nintendo squeak by as the winner. Good job nintendo.

Show was entertaining for me, but the announcements are what's really important. And there they of course can't compete with MS or Sony since they just don't get any support from 3rd-partys besides some small coorporations.

The X delay was the worst news for me...
Zelda gameplay looks fresh, that's good news. But I hoped for a better artstyle and not "SS-2".

Nintendo's conference was great. Short but sweet, but at the same time it seems like they left stuff out. I don't know why they didn't show Star Fox or Mario Party 10 in the Digital Event. Maybe they didn't have much to show for them. My only other gripes are that they didn't show anything new for 2014 or for 3DS, and that we didn't get any Zelda gameplay. But they did hint at more announcements later so maybe there will still be some new stuff for this year and on 3DS. Splatoon is easily the coolest thing I've seen so far this E3 and it might have sold me on a Wii U, but again it's coming out next year so I still won't be buying one anytime soon.

Nintendo > Microsoft > Sony for me, but all conferences were great this year.

lol In terms of catering to Nintendo fans who already own Wii Us, they dd a great job showing games. For those of us still sitting on the fence waiting, nothing shown really convinced me to pull the trigger and I think that's what really is going to be the pea in the mattress for Nintendo.

you think joking about mother 3 is fucking funny? I find it extremely offensive and shows how little nintendo care.

I don't think it was offensive, just in very bad taste. It's something people (myself included) want and Nintendo knows it.

Who knows though, maybe they'll show it at next year's E3 with a 2016 release date tacked on it.

Solid show. More games that I'm personally interested in than the other two. Easy win for Nintendo for me.

Zelda looks great and it looks like there's more to come for Nintendo this year.

Bayonetta 1 included with Bayo 2. Thank god. I wasn't willing to buy the PS3 port, and had to part with my 360 because reasons. I also thought those little animated shorts were fun.

I'm not gonna say that it was a 10/10 show, but it was significantly better for me than Microsoft and Sony.

5 out of 5 TIME leaks.

I might be slightly biased (as my avatar might indicate), but I'm interested in just about every game they showed. I'm very excited!

I still have the livestream up and some info is trickling in, but what should I be watching now? I missed Mario Party reveal because I'm not sure what I should be watching?

Also where do I watch the Smash Invitational?

Zelda cutscenes are always in-engine. Also that field was just sitting there for like 2 min, doubt that was CG.
Once the action started it was 100% aparent we were watching a film. No way will the game look and control like that.

He jumped off a horse, pulled out a bow and arrow and shot the robot in mid air. You really think that is in game?
