DRIVECLUB gets actual weather effects, screenshots inside

Even slight vehicle impacts gives you negative fame points, I like that. Online could be a little less destruction derby. Who am I kidding, it won't change anything in online races.

oh God ...it looks very close to those trailers now...even on the crappy quality and they still have time to polish. The handling looks great too, not too arcadey. And the best part of all, the loading is so quick! I hated that in past gen games.

There is something I'm a little bit worried about that I hope I'm wrong on. What if only certain tracks will snow (and it always snows in it) and some have rain (only those and it rains at all times).

October can't come soon enough. This looks incredible. Every little bit of detail contributes to the sense of speed and that lighting just...yes please.

We've already seen that weather is a controllable option. But I don't think we should expect snow in Chile/India :)

I highly doubt it, not from what i've seen from FH2, i doubt it will stand toe to toe with DC. Let alone surpass it.

I just watched the livestream on Twitch. I don't think FH2 can beat it purely on visuals alone but I don't think it needs to. I hope there's an audience for both.

Holy shit that stream was so good. Why the hell are they not releasing videos with commentary about the game like this? Its so sad that DC is not being marketed as well as it deserves.

PUMPED. Destiny looks great, this looks great. My year is backed up with online co-op games until Batman next year. Then it's back to solitary gaming.

Snow is awesome DC going to be the driving game to beat when it comes to looks , the lighting is amazing adding weather just puts it to another level .

None. This is starting to get a little frustrating. Why release screens when they should be releasing footage.

Ah well, maybe at Gamescom? That's just over two months away if I'm not mistaken..

Maybe they only just put it in, and didn't thnk it was ready to show moving yet? Perhaps there was a little pressure to release the screenshots due to FH2?

whoooo baby. Gotta wipe off all that swe- err... I mean rain. :P

Hard to believe that would be the case. They've been talking about weather since it reappeared.

I can believe they maybe felt pressured to release some weather based screens after Horizon 2 though. Playground showcasing the game with weather was an inspired move.

That's a great reason to delay for, the rain looks great in stills, can't wait to see it in motion.

This is my feeling too. Even with the b-roll, Fh2 looks more basic in the lighting and even the rain - almost makes the roads look too smooth and reflective. DC has a much more natural texture in the road when wet.

As it stands (having only seen video and not heard hands-on impressions), I'm confident that Fh2 will have great handling and be fun to play (based on FH1), but the graphics aren't quite up to DC. For Driveclub, I'm certain it'll be the prettiest racing game we see this year, but I need my fingers crossed on how well the cars will drive, and how much fun it will be to play. While I have faith in Evo, impressions from last year weren't great, so I'm slightly wary.

They haven't been talking about weather at all...

Holy shit, this looks amazing.

I can't wait until games actually look like photomode shots. These photomode shots look far well and beyond any real time footage (of any racing game).

Guess I'll have to wait for the PS5 for that.
