Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 8: Put mii in, coach

They are apparently from Rhythm Heaven.

Is that game a Nintendo first party title?

Hoooly shit, these guys!?!

Yes it is a Nintendo 1st Party title

I think what were missing with the ability to play as a Mii in Smash Bros. is the fact that were going to be able to play as Morgan Freeman... Hes gonna kick so much butt... lol

I bet Chorus Men will have a timing element to their attack. Probably a simple one-two-three pattern that powers up their specials, and that is visualized by each member of the trio singing.

Also I just got Game and Wario, the game people used as an example of the choir boys further representation, and I see the samurai from the Rhythm Tengoku games also has a bigger cameo showing in this than they do. Seeing as ha has been in all RT games I sure hope he gets some love if Choir Boys get in.

Captain Toad and the main Inkling girl are perfect DLC characters based on the new games announced today. I barely put any thought into these moves, but it shows that they're readily adaptable to Smash Bros.

CAPTAIN TOAD

Standard Special Move - Headlamp
A bright flash of light briefly stuns the opponent at close range.

Side Special Move - Pickaxe
Captain Toad moves forward while swinging his pickaxe like the hammer item, but it's much weaker, obviously.

Up Special Move - Cannon
Captain Toad launches at an upward arc out of a cannon.

Down Special Move - Vegetable
He pulls a vegetable out of the ground like Peach, but he holds it overhead.

Final Smash - Toad Brigade
A couple of Toads appear and help attack the opponents.

INKLING

Standard Special Move - Paint Shot
She fires a shot of paint from her gun.

Side Special Move - Paint Grenade
She shoots a grenade from her gun that explodes with paint after a few seconds.

Up Special Move - Super-Jump
She does a high jump while moving forward and spinning.

Down Special Move - Squid
Turn "invisible" by blending into the paint that you've left on the stage.

Final Smash - Paint Bazooka
She fires successive bursts of paint from her gun.

I'm really high on Splatoon. EAD hasn't made a new character-based IP in years.
So is Sceptile. It feels uncomfortable having fire an water, but not grass.

I read something about there being "around 33 characters"?

There's 33 with profiles on the site. Worth noting that Captain Falcon was mentioned in an interview about balancing the game and Game & Watch has been shown in the Pacman trailer, so basically 35 confirmed thus far.

Did Palutena's voice actress change?
That didn't really sound like Ali Hillis anymore.

i honestly feel that this palutena trailer was made during its early stages and was just shown because the 3ds version is coming out soon (at least thats what im starting to feel still freaking excited shes in though)

Actually the perfect DLC is DLC of characters that were actually fan requested so they will actually get money out of it.

I know this isn't what the official select screen looks like, but I updated my version of it anyway:

Replace Mewtwo with Takamaru and I would be content with this. Though there will be a random box on the bottom right for sure, so it would look weird to have no one to the left of Marth.

As much as I dislike modern Pac-man, seeing what they've done with his move-set gets my seal of approval and I'll be glad to play him when the game comes out.

You can hardly call the incarnation used in smash modern, that's how he pretty much looked in the case art of the original pac man cabinets right?

Let's pay tribute to the goddess

I wonder how the Mii Fighters are going to work. Do you just select one type per battle? Will each Mii be locked to one set that you can't change unless you go to some specific option menu outside the character select? Great idea though, I think many worried that the obligatory Mii character would be very bland.

So, did Mr. Game and Watch confirmed or what? It's pretty apparent he's coming but they didn't officially announced him. :(

Also, Pac Man is awesome!!!

Maybe he's still an unlock so his appearance at the end of the Pacman vid is all we'll get for now.
