Is there a code begging thread? Everyone keeps saying to do that but not linking to it.
If not I will make one.
You don't need to.

Hmm... so why mention it?
It's what nightmares are made of! Very much looking forward to playing tomorrow.
Got my code(s) and I'm good to go!
Sorry I should have expanded.... in a meeting and just wanted to read some other impressions and shoot out mine.
One issue is that often the world feels dead to me. But the main points are as follows...
Does anybody know if there is split screen at all in the Alpha? I can't find an answer anywhere.
From what I've seen, this is what I'd like them to fix:
- Add classic control schemes, like Bumper Jumper, Recon, etc.
- Add the option to remove the enemy health bars and damage numbers.
- Add the option to turn-off the music.
- Remove accuracy penalties for jumping, not using ADS, etc.
Fixing those things would make my hype for the game increase exponentially.
No it is not. The closest thing would be Jumper, and the only thing it has in common with Bumper Jumper is that L1 makes you jump. Every other button is still mapped like the COD control scheme. The classic Bumper Jumper would look like this:Bumper jumper is in
These are all valid concerns. I haven't played the Alpha myself yet, but from watching the GB Quicklook and some streams, I think the way party invites are done should be fixed. In-game would be so much better. And from what I've heard, Bungie is taking most issues players have seriously, so maybe you should post this on their official forums.
No split screen in the game at all.
Please, this can't be true, can it?!

Is the story mission "the dark within", where you kill that hive wizard in the end, supposed to be a campaign mission?
That might be a bad idea, at least until you've encountered and memorized every boss in the game, because these numbers are your main (only?) source of feedback, so it might get hard to tell if you're doing any damage without all of that HUD junk.- Add the option to remove the enemy health bars and damage numbers.

Apologies if this has been posted, but has there been any Titan or Warlock gameplay?
All I've seen is Hunter videos, and like 10 of them.
Thanks!

Why is it a bad idea? Just have dmg numbers on as default, and then if players want to turn it off, let them.
Oops, sorry, I meant that rushing to turn them off would be a bad idea. Having more options is always good. Why is it a bad idea? Just have dmg numbers on as default, and then if players want to turn it off, let them.

Damage numbers are one thing, but I know I'd rather not have someone that can't see level differences and how much health/armor a boss has in my party. Being able to see that information is part of the design. If someone decides to be ignorant of that information, they could be a hindrance.
How big is the file?
Enjoy!
Ooof, that's a bummer. I hope that's something that can be remedied, but I'm kinda doubting it at this point. My main criticisms are with the party system, which isn't as seamless as it could be in this type of game. For some reason if you're messing around in Explore, and then you invite a guy you met into your fireteam, he has to reload the whole map.
Tough luck. I don't want a bunch of numbers crowding my screen when I'm not min/maxing. Having it as an option is the correct way to go, as it really hurts immersion.
When you start a pvp match do you only have access to normal ammo?
Each weapon type uses a corresponding type of ammo. Primary weapons use common ammo, which is dropped by enemy players when you kill them. You start each round with plenty of that good stuff. Special weapons use special ammo, coloured green in the game world. This is rarer, and is looted from caches dotted around the map. You start each round with a limited amount of special ammo, but there's plenty to go around so you're never normally short.
But you start a round of Destiny's competitive multiplayer with no heavy ammo. You've got your heavy weapon equipped, but you can't use it. You have to wait for the game to drop heavy ammo onto the battlefield, but it only does so a few times a round.

Dunno if it needs a new thread. Has some new shots (campaign), the pvp montage (@_@), i really like what i see from the Raid they show.
Has anyone been able to locate a heavy weapon in alpha yet? I'm almost positive I saw a dude using some sort of rocket launcher in pvp. I haven't come across any yet so I'm not sure if they are in alpha or not. There is definitely a 3rd slot for it in the inventory though.
It takes place way in the future with all kinds of technology advances. Is it that hard to consider it, along with the UI, as part of the display shown on the inside of your helmet?
I'm not allowed to click this link. Muahaha, indeed. : (

A bunch of numbers being read off? Yes. Now if they said stuff like impact chest or there were X Rays scans like Sniper Elite to show damage feedback, that's different.
