Any word on Suikoden II?
Interesting, I'd ask if this applies to the Jill and Shuma DLC but those don't seem to be discounted ^^;
Will grab it once I get home thanks.
What a fucking clown, calling it having a ultimate mobile experianceVita is getting itself a regular dose of bad press and a solid beating
Between the Brief time it got at E3, Andrew House calling it an accessory (quotes taken out of context) and lastly the Type O debacle....
It seemed to spur Gio into reaffirming his team's commitment to the platform on Twitter.
I applaud him for it. Those guys got it rough right now
I'm pretty sure all the dlc is cross buy. Too bad the characters aren't discounted but I might still pick them up.
The disparity between the amount of comments on Type-0's announcement post and every other post on the PlayStation Blog is hilarious: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/06/10/final-fantasy-type-0-hd-coming-to-ps-vita/
Vita owners are out for blood in there, lol.
I have to imagine the SE stubbornness Kagari mentioned was Sony asking to do a port they'd develop/publish and SE being unwilling to hand over the code.
Any word on Suikoden II?
Ok so I just finished setting up my Vita and signing up for PS+.
When I go in the PS+ store there's already a bunch of free games there. Will they stay free forever or do I have to download them to "acquire" them? All those free games are worth more then the 50$ I paid for PS+ lol.
The disc seems fine, when I first got it it had some smudges, but I took care of that. No other disc gives me any troubles. Thanks for the suggestion though. I will try to clean it again, using a series of microfiber cloths, and then hope for the best. In fact, this is the first major problem I've had with my PS3 :\ The disc drive is louder than normal almost immediately after I put the disc in. I even checked the top of the disc for debris, or anything that could potentially throw the weight distrobution of the disc off, and nothingInspect the disc for dirt. Blu-rays are quite resilient to scratches, but a good old smudge will still make them unreadable. May sound silly, but it happened before...
Do other disc games give you any trouble lately?

Protip: you dont have to download the game to your hard drive (or memory card) to gain the entitlement you can also go to the web store, add them to your cart and check out. Once the game says Purchased below it when youre logged in, youll be set for the future as long as youre a PS Plus member.
LOL, that PS blog post is glorious. More than 1200 comments in less than 24 hours, and not even counting the two or three entire pages they deleted.
And the thread here on GAF is about to cross the 3000 posts in the same timeframe. Crazy.
This could have easily been a glorious moment for Sony, Shahid, SQEX and Vita owners, yet it degenerated into one of the worst fails in the past few years.
Wait a sec...what happened to Teraria and Muttant Mudds for PS Plus? I was on vacation and just got back a few days ago, but I don't see that they're free anymore. I thought they were free for the whole month with the new system??
Alright it's done. Thanks for the quick replies.
Just realized that I can also play all the old FF I bought when I owned a PS3, nice.
edit: Ok so Vita download speed is horrible... am I missing something here?
They deleted comments?! Why?
The new system starts in July. June's games are still being rotated weekly.
Go into Settings > Power Save Settings > Use Wi-Fi in Power Save Mode and uncheck it, it'll give you a better connection and speed up your downloads.
Does that mean I missed those 2 games? Fuck!

Most likely offensive comments. But it seems also others as well. I posted a comment with a link to a petition someone created and it says my comment is awaiting moderation.

We should contact Kotaku or some site to tell everybody about this. Its not even funny anymore.

Definitely. I don't think neither SQEX or Sony expected this amount of backlash. Even Shahid has stopped tweeting, which is quite unbelievable if you follow his Twitter account.
No, they haven't been added yet - they'll be added before the end of the month.
Wait.. I thought people were upset that it also came to consoles.. But now the Vita version was a mistake? That is incredibly frustrating, Sony and Square Enix should be ashamed.

This might sound silly but why don't we create a campaign after E3 is done, akin to the #PS4NoDRM thing, to try to raise awareness about the Vita situation in the west and Sony's "vision" for the future of the platform? Bluemaxima's video about E3 is a good summary on why that conference was so fucked up and frankly that House interview is also pretty worrying.
Thanks to the whole Type-0 fiasco we have the perfect opportunity to make this thing take off since people are being pretty fucking vocal about it so it makes perfect sense to ride the outcry and do something more productive for the platform.
Again, this might sound worthless but it's the only way to send a message that can't be ignored thanks to the nature of social media.
Thanks a lot! That collection you mentioned is already on my wishlist for PS3 (don't own a Vita), but since I got this "for free" with PS+, I wanted to know if playing it before the previous ones was a good idea. Now I know it is, and if I like it enough I'll also get the collection on PS3 later. It is a solid starting point; there are references to story from Sly 3 (the ending is spoiled in the beginning) but after that the game stands on its own story wise; it is completely separate from the past games outside some nods here and there to past games.
The game even has a recap movie at the start explaining who Sly and the gang are, what happened before Thieves in Time and setting up who the characters personalities are.
Gameplay wise, this is pretty much the perfected version of Sly 2, so you aren't missing much from past games (though if you enjoy this one, you should pick up the Sly Collection on Vita; a great remaster of all three games and they run really well on Vita. The first and second are the best of the collection with the third being good up until the Winter China level which is.....I believe he fourth world, then the game progressively get worse and worse X().
They always put comments with links in moderation queue. The rest is published automatically. Most likely offensive comments. But it seems also others as well. I posted a comment with a link to a petition someone created and it says my comment is awaiting moderation.

People want the game, badly. And they won't buy it because it's not coming to that one platform. How does the #NOVITANOBUY thing work? That has to be one of, if not the biggest PS Blog count I've ever seen on there. #NOVITANOBUY in full swing on Twitter and Sony tried to suppress it but to no avail lol. Vitabros ain't taking no shit this time around. E3 + the Type-0 debacle was seemingly the straw that broke the camel's back.
There is this campaign which I think we should try to sign... or something.
It'd be better if we tried to turn all this backslash into something constructive. For that reason we may use this. I was wondering if we should launch some campaign, but this could work.
I can start a thread asking people to sign the petition. If I make the thread could somebody tweet the thread / petition on Twitter? I really need to get my ass together and create an account, I know XD.
And that's only for Type-0, why should we waste this opportunity for just a single game? Did you read House's interview? It's fucked up.It's silly because we seem to already have a twitter thing#NoVitaNoBuy

Japan already played it, they don't give a fuck anymore. At this point I think it'd be funny if they just turned around completely and said "screw you guys, I'm going home", and released this in Japan only.

Looking at those comments on the blog, I don't see a "passionate userbase", I see kids foaming at their mouths. I understand being pissed at the extraordinarily bad typo/misinformation and Shahid for being more Shahid than he's ever been, but the overreaction is downright embarrassing for "vitabros".
Before you ask for specific games you should try and let Sony know that you want the Vita to be a game console first, not "an extender or an enhancer for the main platform for other rooms in the house", as House, the president and CEO of SCE, stated. Because if that's not the main priority you sure as fuck won't see those games. Why should we fight for what we they asked us? Yakuza,Valkyria Chronicles, JRPGs and more Vita games? Seems like it was just a trick to get us to think they would be all "personal and helpfull" and stuff and in the end kill us with a knife.
Maybe its the new CEO maybe its Shahid. Maybe even Yosp. I dont know but in reality i dont care. I just want the games we answered to those questions.
This is fucking embarrassing to the max
If they loved Final Fantasy then they will get it on whatever console Square choose to place it on. If FF went Xbox exclusive I will buy a Xbox One the very same day. Why? Because I won't let my dickwaving over a electronic product come in my way over something I love.
It's fucking appalling that some people would choose not to play a GREAT GAME because it's coming to to a platform they own.
I wanted to play MK8, so instead of complaining and whining about it, i saved up money and bought a Wii U
I wanted to play Titanfall so instead of bitching why won't it come to a Sony platform I got it on PC
The Vita may be dead but that doesn't mean you guys have to act like a bunch of entitled fools over a game.

I'll buy Type-0 used or when it hits a single digit price. Thanks, SE.If they loved Final Fantasy then they will get it on whatever console Square choose to place it on. I don't know, those kind of petitions are pretty useless since they're not constantly shoved in the face of anyone who's following their various social channels and they can be easily ignored. A social network campaign is potentially a lot more harmful for these companies and it's what gets their ass moving.
The best course of action in my opinion would be something like #PS4NoDRM, a thread on gaf (as I said, after E3 or it's getting locked as soon as it starts) accompanied by a social media campaign.
And that's only for Type-0, why should we waste this opportunity for just a single game? Did you read House's interview? It's fucked up.
