I got a question... do you get better gear from doing the harder difficulty strikes?

I didn't notice a depreciable difference in loot.

I asked this in the twitch chat, but fyre is busy putting the party together and dan is trying to get people working codes, so they may not be paying attention to the chat

I got a code in FyreWulff's stream, which is pretty awesome!

Can't wait to get in, but it's probably going to take a bit x.x net's been iffy this week.

Game looks really good.

One thing ruins it for me though and will continue to do so when i play the game. Peter Dinklage. I have nothing against the guy and am a big fan of his work; however, hearing his voice completely unimmerses me, all I can imagine is him disinterestedly reading lines in a booth.

I wish they would have gone with a lower profile voice actor.

Anyone having this issue?

Haha! I'm having the exact same issue, right down to imagining him in a booth. It's driving me nuts, couldn't agree with you more.

I'm really digging this taste of the game. It certainly feels like a Bungie FPS (which is a good thing) and yet fresh too. I'm gonna sink a ton of time in to this.

It's weird how much server side action is going on even without ps plus, but I'm locked out of joining friends. Here's where I rant about how much I hate the multiplayer paywall, yet stop tomorrow morning for a $40 sub card. Meh.

Watched a stream yesterday and now I am horny to run out and buy PS4, as I have planned from end of last year.

I am hype.

Dude, if you've waited this long...

Not sure if we're allowed to share PSN IDs here for the alpha, so apologies ahead of time if that is the case.

Feel free to add me for the alpha, Heaven-Assassin1

I got a code, downloading now, not sure if I will get a lot of play in tonight, I will try more solo than Co-op to see how fun/hard/easy it is. :-)

I know man, I know abut this edition, but white would be bad for the black everything wooden/tv/.. room I have. White is nice, but not for me. /OT

When is the alpha ending? How much time would I potentialy have from now and if I would snag the code somewhere?

ed: Oh...so it is ending pretty soon. I wanted to go out, buy a PS4 and with a proof, beg for a code :lol

Everyone should check out this livestream strike on Legend difficulty with the guys from "Destiny Updates" and "Datto Does Destiny"! Intense!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVFGoseIOwo

Edit: They just finished a huge battle... pretty slow right now, but keep watching, I'm sure it'll pick up again. Any Halo Legendary fans will be sure to enjoy.

All this guy is doing is talkin bullshit and giving shoutouts. he's barely playing.

The main problem with people's expectations is that everyone was expecting a revolution in online gaming, and Bungie / Activision are to blame for this. All the Vid Docs and interviews pump this aura that this game is unlike anything you've ever seen, a revolution for console gaming of the likes of Halo. What we get is a game that just takes current trends and gives them the Bungie polish.

"What's wrong with that" some might ask. Nothing really. This is what Blizzard did with WoW back in the day. The difference here is that the MMO genre lacked polish on almost every front. Blizzard was the first to really make the genre tasty for the masses. This is not the case in the online FPS genre. This genre has been perfected to the point of staleness over the past decade. There really is not much new for Bungie to iterate on.

Used to love WoW. I think if someone made a WoW clone in first-person persective, with all the different character classes and ability trees, it would turn the industry on its ear. Imagine cloaking and sneaking up behind a mage to assasinate him as an infiltrator/rogue character, but just before you stab your knife in an anti-stealth class pops your cloak and you're standing there naked and exposed trying to figure a way out and checking your timers to see if any escape options are availabe.

The mechanics would be tricky to nail down balancing all those classes in a first-person gameplay mode simply because FPS skill might allow for certain classes to be massively overpowered compaired to others, but it would be great.

I'm looking forward to Destiny, but at the same time I'm still longing for a true MMOFPS (on consoles) where the world feels more full of people and grouping is required rather than an added bonus. I'm cautiously optimistic that the multiple-strike-steam raids will have that content I'm hoping for as far as teamwork and scale in an first-person setting.

Every stream I open seem to either be doing PvP or running towards the skywatch to do the story mission. Why is no one streaming stuff from the other side of the wall and such?

Question for those in the Alpha: I'll be out of town this weekend, so can I play the Alpha via remote play? I know the Battlefield beta doesn't allow it.
