E3 2014 | Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 [ it's over :( ]

I feel like when you just finished a very good game or anime/manga.

"My grandmother is awesome at Mario Party, and she's dead!" That still cracks me up just thinking about it. And when the Treehouse dudes were playing Project Giant Robot, that robot with the giant head lol.

"Giant blow"

This has been my first E3 on GAF and it's been GREAT!

Hope they do a treehouse livestream again next year.

Same here.

Fantastic show, and Im really sad its over as it has been on non-stop at my house all week. Made me feel part of E3 like never before. REALLY hope they do this next year as well. Thank you Treehouse!

With Treehouse ends the best E3 I've experienced in years. How much work and how many friends have I avoided these last 3 days. I think I even have some PMs to respond to. Neither Sony or Microsoft stopped me from work but damn Ninty and the crew sure did. Nice job. Hope to see them next year.

The vertical level design is very nice. Like I said, the ideas behind this are great, it could be good if they are given more time to fix the jankiness.

I agree.

Vertical level design
Design your own base
Huge level of customization
Diverse settings
Diverse weapons
Could be an interesting story
Itagaki eccentricness

There's a really good action game here if they polish it.

What have game journos (IGN, Giant Bomb, etc.) have been saying about new style by Nintendo? Everyone I see loves it, but I've only been talking to Nintendo fanboys, really.

EDIT: Probably the single worst thing about The Devil's Third is the ladder climbing animation (when you get to the top). Shocked me lol

I think the biggest disappointment that could possibly come out of Nintendo between now and next year is revealing that they won;t be doing this again.

Damn, it's over. That was really cool. All of the big companies should do something like this next year. It really makes you feel like you're there.

Incredible E3. I spent soo much time with the team at Treehouse watching all of the cool shit they have coming up for us all that I kinda feel sad now. It's pretty strange but it was such a blast getting up close and personal with these games, Nintendo, all the devs and Treehouse itself.

They definitely left their mark on E3 and changed it forever in my opinion. I bet Nintendo's chuffed with the response and I look forward to future E3's with Nintendo. We got up close and personal with games like Bayo 2 and Xenoblade X. Such an amazing E3. A lot of crow was eaten by many this E3 that's for sure. It was cool see all the familiar and not so familiar faces at Nintendo and all the people behind these awesome games. Lots of smiles everywhere. All this without even mentioning the Smash Tournament which was out of this fucking world!

Thanks Nintendo for the awesome shit, keep it up now!

Fucking gutted Iwata didn't show up. People were like "who cares it's only a pre-recorded video anyways!" but man it's a shame he didn't get to see all of this up close and personal. I bet he's chuffed with everything.

So guys, what's your favourite Treehouse moments? :D

The guys teasing each other to attack the giant, high leveled dinosaur monster in Xenoblade Chronicles X was my favorite. I was laughing because that's the same thought process that goes in my head, "Hmm, wouldn't it be funny to see what happens if I do this? ... Ok! Let's do it!"

If Treehouse reads GAF (I know you guys do): great job and I really, really hope you're doing this again next year. It's the best way to experience E3 at home.

great job Treehouse. They really deserved a big bang at the end. What a great E3

Man, what an awesome E3 experience this was, really hope Nintendo brings this back next year and I'd love to hear and see more from these Treehouse guys in general - seem like an awesome group of people.

I just had the most entertaining E3 that I can remember thanks to these guys.
And I wouldn't be half as interested in Splatoon as I am if Nintendo didn't demonstrate it like they did, so kudos to them.

Treehouse was the best part of E3 for me, this kind of coverage is the next best thing after actually being there. Congrats to everyone on Treehouse, you guys did an amazing job. Come payday, I'm getting a Wii U.

Really, really hope Nintendo let the Treehouse team come out and play with us again next year! Was super fun, and while initially I came for the games, I stayed for the personalities. It was even great to see Reggie get to mellow out a bit outside of his super-professional press-conference style.

I mean they even made Devils Third's slideshow somehow exciting even though that had to be tied with maybe Mario Party 10 for hardest title to sell on stream.

I feel a bit sad for Iwata as everyone on team Nintendo seemed to be having a ball all E3 and he had to sit it out. I hope he got to see the crazy crowds of the invitational giving Sakurai a hero's welcome. Amazing moment

What have game journos (IGN, Giant Bomb, etc.) have been saying about new style by Nintendo? Everyone I see loves it, but I've only been talking to Nintendo fanboys, really.

Palmer Luckey brought up Treehouse while he was on Giant Bomb and the guys seemed to like it. Not sure if they have gone into more detail at a later date.

I think the biggest disappointment that could possibly come out of Nintendo between now and next year is revealing that they won;t be doing this again.

I feel like Nintendo has set a lot of precidents this year.

Everyone's goign to expect a Treehouse stream now. Everyone's going to be expecting a Smash Tourney now. There's no way they can't do another one with the full roster and more celebrity appearances.

Nintendo absoutely killed E3 this year. I had no idea I'd have this much fun. It was the closest I've ever felt to actually being there.

The whole Play Nintendo initiative has made it the most entertaining E3. E3 isn't just one day with the conferences with this, it is for all 3 days.
Hands down the most enjoyable E3 ever. Treehouse live was fantastic, and needs to happen again next year.

And thanks to DaBoss for keeping the OP updated!
No problem and thank you.
And when they return... they'll be talking about Splatoon.
That's releasing in Q1 2015 though.
They'll talk about a Splatoon map pack and I would love it.

Treehouse made for the most mellow and welcoming E3 experience I've ever seen. Nintendo, to me, didn't just win because of their games, but also won because of their presentation. I don't think I've been more satisfied with following each and every day of E3. A+, Nintendo. Please do this again next year.

Treehouse was the best thing about E3 this year, Nintendo need to be like this every E3.

The fact that it was laid back and presented casually made a huge difference as well.
