There is third leak that source reconfirmed that we are getting those newcomers that we already know. (Shulk, Chrom and Chorus Kid) Apparently it seem that those newcomers are only newcomers that we are getting for Smash 4. Also there is an argument that Lucas might be removed from Smash 4. Plus DLC characters were considered and planned.

i think his moveset might revolve around using both the spear and the sword since ike and marth never used another weapon outside of the sword class he might be more like link in a way then marth or ike
Chrom has access to every FE weapon type in some form, doesn't he?
We don't really have a weapon master character aside from maybe Link (who doesn't have access to polearms, axes and magic) and I could see Chrom filling that niche.
With how easily bored with avatars I am it was maddening.

Sakurai just said they "had a slot" for a Pokemon, and Greninja took that spot. I don't think that rules out another Pokemon, just that Greninja took up one of the slots. I imagine another Pokemon could've been in the roster before Greninja was decided upon.
Speaking of which, fuck Genesect being just a PokeBall. I wanted him playable!
Anyway, I'm calling a new character tonight...Ganondorf. Yeah, he's usually saved for secret, but I can see him being revealed early for once.

I could see them announcing Game and Watch before most of the characters since he was shown on the trailer.
Regarding Dark Pit; didn't the demo characters only have 4 selectable colours as opposed to Brawl's 6? If I recall correctly, Wireframe Mac wasn't available either. So Dark Pit probably still is a costume, and his appearance in the trailer probably just suggests he'll be a slightly more fleshed-out alt this time - i.e, new lines, Silver Bow, etc.

I really really hope so. Including Dark Pit as a character but not Hades or Medusa would be an extremely bad decision.

I haven't directly compared the two, but as soon as I heard Fox in the new Smash Bros. I was reminded of Star Fox 64 3D.
Kinda sad that so many Final Smashes are repeats, and that once again they are very new player unfriendly (if you don't know what a character's final smash does,you can very well whiff and have no idea what you should have done differently). The repeating final smashes hurt the most here - please, Samurai, just let us do Toon Links most iconic move - right in the head! And then flood the stage or something, I dunno.
Oh, and Mega > Mac > Pac > don't even care.

for me my main gripe is that the smashs are the same im glad super sonic is back tho but i was hoping for a change in a lot of them ( im hoping in the end though the final smashes all get better and all become more fun to use) I am really hoping peach's final smash gets changed though thats one i really hope gets changed

Well it would certainly explain the change. The new actors for 643D did a great job at replicating the 64 voices, so I hope its true and Falco and Wolf get the same treatment.

His old voice is infinitely more iconic though. They're both equally cheesy so I guess whichever they go with is fine, but I'm going to get a bigger nostalgia hit with 'British' Wolf.

Hmm, I really can't wait to see Shulk rendered in HD---the Xenoblade Models was pretty low-tech and ugly, really wanna see how Sakurai does him justice.

But I'm actually really pleased with all the newcomers so far. Even Wii Fit Trainer is a really funny character in the vein of Mr. Game and Watch.
