Bloodborne leaked gameplay trailer (new leak, early footage)

This might literally be the hypest goddamn videogame trailer ever. If I had watched this shit standing up, my knees would have buckled from the music crescendo.

However, on the flip side, he wants to avoid a common pitfall that he perceives in other games that make healing items the default selectable item where the strategic usefulness of other types of items are rendered comparatively ambiguous, although he doesn’t provide specifics about how he intends to combat that particular issue.

Great!

OMG so hyped right now!!!!!

:( "Threads" was such a terrifying movie :(

Yeah I can see why this would have been terrible to show at the conference vs an entirely CG trailer.

Yep, it's a pretty roughly edited trailer with footage that very unoptimized judging from the framerate. Makes sense why the game is a '15 title.

Music is soo good.

One thing I prefer Sony's and Namco's original approach to doing their trailers were the choice of music. For Dark Souls 2 it got stupid.

This trailer is incredible. Some designs are almost vomit-inducing.

I haven't seen so far different equipment for the character though. Is it a safe assumption that only one armor was shown?

Armor shown in E3 demo isn't quite as ragged as the one in this gameplay trailer. Either it has been changed, or maybe it becomes more ragged over time or as part of some mechanic.

Wait, are you being sarcastic because I was being sarcastic. The game play trailer would have been infinitely better to show at the conference than the CG trailer even in it's current state.

This is only a video of 9+ months old build.
Imagine the reaction on proper next gen graphic gameplay trailer at Gamescom!

Am actually surprised they would have shown this at TGS last year tbh given how rough it was (framerate, pop in, tearing). Leaving that aside that was truly glorious if things like the strategic where he tossed oil at the enemy then threw fire is a replacement for magic then I will take it. Also looks like two-handed wielding is in :)

Man I need a PS4.

Damn you can see the improvement in the blood splatter. Crazy how much it has evolved.

It looks to be a completely different set, as you can see the new, cleaner set at around 50 seconds in the footage - awesome pointy hat and all.

Moreover, this means that the flagship set of the old footage is probably still in the game!

It's definitely early, but you can already tell that this game is going to be something special. I would add "praise the sun," but I don't think we're going to be seeing too much sunshine in Bloodborne.

Taking a break from the trailer!

Just a tiny break!

Bathroom brb

I trust Miyazaki to have meaningful NPC storylines and characters you care about. I had a hard time connecting with any of the NPC's in DS2 and none of them are terribly memorable. DeS and DS1 are chock full of memorable NPC's with great story arcs.

The gun in the E3 trailer, he mentions, can change shape and such distinct characteristics are present throughout the game’s weaponry, with the focus therefore being on figuring out how to best utilize a given weapon’s gimmicks, rather than just the latent properties of more straightforward weapons occupying conventional tropes.

This tidbit has me really interested. The setting of the game has me so hype, looking forward to seeing how they take advantage of it.

What's crazy is that is old gameplay. I can't wait to see a proper gameplay reveal of the current build, which everyone who has seen it said it was amazing (frame rate issues aside).

I adore the more horror-focused Victorian/Gothic setting. Precisely what I wanted. This could really be a dream game for me, personally.

Man, this together with Zelda WiiU looking stunningly gorgeous and ambitious, Fatal Frame 5 on the way, Metroid not being dead... Great E3.

Indeed, it makes use of the setting to tune up the weapons with additional tricks. I think we can expect all sorts of grisly results, however morbid that sounds.

I wouldn't read too deep into descriptions of mechanics, most attempts at describing Dark Souls mechanics before release were pretty far off the mark.

They already said we will see various times of day and weather in the game. I personally hope to see different time/weather on the same area, changing it in a similar way to world tendencies and bonfire ascetics.

I dont think there is another game coming that has got me more excited than this

It helps that it feels like the closest and most surefire early release for 2015

The image quality in this trailer didn't look too far off of Dark Souls 2 PC. The footage we've seen from E3 looks like a generational leap ahead, and it'll hopefully only improve from here. I can definitely see why they didn't want to show the early trailer with the 'working title' still in effect - people often aren't able to see the big picture when looking at raw ideas.

Special message from Director Hidetaka Miyazaki:

“Creating Bloodborne as a completely new game on the new PlayStation 4 hardware has allowed us to really push the envelope in myriad ways. That being said, in more ways than one, it also very much retains our distinct, signature style. As has been at the core of our development philosophy since Demon’s Souls, we make true games for people who love games. Please watch for more to come on Bloodborne, and thank you very much for your support.”

I will buy all your games ! :)

Oh lol, didn't realize :P. No I'm not being sarcastic. I like what I see in the trailer, and the game is up there with Witcher 3 and Destiny in terms of how much I want to play it. But it seems like a pretty rough trailer, the footage seems strung together pretty randomly, and the framerate in the footage is very rough.

So as you guys can see that is indeed the full trailer but it is oooooollllld. Was for internal use and potentially for a reveal last year. The game looks sooo much better but a great thing about the trailer is you can see the combat and feeling of the game is a true Demon Soul successor but with even more epicness thrown in. I know some people were concerned you were going to be just in the city but as you can see your going all over the place and as always the more sinister and dark your surrounding make the sun that much more brilliant when if finally rises.

Praise the sun.

You work at From Software or something? :)

I want a cartoony souls game. Think Demon's Souls x Roger Rabbit

Demon's Souls x Tree House Friends, so cute

No I just thankfully got some early info and tidbits on it a while ago and just lucked out. When it was described to me I honestly thought "This has to be a troll its like someone is just thinking of the most awesome game ever and throwing them all at me at once"

Demon's Soul successor, but no Umbasa? Come on son.

Gamestop's got a release date on it of 3.31.14, which I'd suggest were a placeholder were it not a Tuesday.

Edit: Obviously I meant 2015.

This is game of the forever material.

But the biggest problem is that I've replayed all the Souls games just one month ago. I CAN'T play them again. What can I do with all this hype? Hold me, gaf.
