Uch, the DS4 is such an awful pad for FPS.
False. The triggers and grip design is superior.

For everyone that can't connect to the server, go to settings --> Network --> Test Internet Connection. A friend of mine told me this and it fixed my issues. Don't ask me why or how.
Don't go in with starter weapons?

I find it to be a lot better than the DS3.

triggers are nice i will admit that but the grip is awful. i cant play for more then an hour without getting cramps.False. The triggers and grip design is superior.

Practice practice practice. Unfamiliarity can make things seem awful when they really aren't.
Thank you, this worked like a charm. Could a mod put this in the OP for newcomers? PEACE.For everyone that can't connect to the server, go to settings --> Network --> Test Internet Connection. A friend of mine told me this and it fixed my issues. Don't ask me why or how.
I wish Bungie would swap L2 and R2 for the speeder bike controls. Accelerating with L2 and braking with R2 goes against what racing games have been doing for years
There are several control schemes in the Options menu but I don't know if there's one which changes just that.

Halo's had boosting on L2/Left Trigger for over 10 years. They'd be breaking their own convention.
Because they're not forcing you to play their game? But I don't care, this isn't Halo and I haven't played Halo. I don't see why I should adapt my habits (which come from decades of racing games on many different platforms) to them and not the other way around

But you don't drive with triggers, you drive by pushing the stick forward. Boost is to go faster than normal speed. This is standard FPS convention, to map vehicles like you're walking, not racing them.
How is it Sony's fault? I thought bungie hosted the servers
Because they're not forcing you to play their game?
It's the way Bungie designs their vehicles. Not every developer has to comply with some sort of industry controller layout.
So none of the mounts have weapons![]()
Plus it'd be a pain to hold R2 to boost, and R1 to shoot on some of the vehicles.
...Then why did you criticize Ubisoft for not including women in Assassin's Creed? They can do what they want, too.

No way. If anything its so good that I wish all PS4 shooters had the option to disable auto-aim. You can in Killzone and Warframe.Uch, the DS4 is such an awful pad for FPS.
It happened to me earlier. Quitting and restarting the alpha fixed it.I'm blaming Sony because the error Bungie throws says PSN can't be reached. I'm not really mad. Servers go up and down during betas/alphas. It's free.

DS4 is awesome for shooters. I wish the ghost's voice would come through the speaker though, that would be cool. Also, why is Boost/Brake on the Sparrow ass backwards? I would rather boost with R2, and brake with L2...

I think I am pretty much done with this Alpha. There just isn't enough content or variety for me to enjoy it for much longer.
I have played it for a little over 20 hours already over the course of the last 3 days and I don't really think there is much left to do. I went to the caves under the crashed ship in the restricted area, found a bunch of dead ends, did way too many of those beacon missions (which aren't any fun) and I beat the strike twice. The PVP feels unbalanced to me and I am not a huge fan.
I will buy it (preordered it a while ago) but I hope the full game has more variety and content that does not consist of bad side missions.
Good on them for doing so.BF4 also has an option to disable auto-aim , phew.
