PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

I think you're referring to PSM SDK v2.0, which is now Vita only and will require a re-write of the code to work (PSM SDK v1.2 isn't directly compatible).

This doesn't mean that PSMobile on the whole is now Vita only however, as SDK v1.2 is still supported and supports PlayStation Certified devices - it's just that they're giving the Vita its own "category" of sorts so that developers have more Vita-specific development options (such as supporting the hardware buttons).

Is it just for things like enabling buttons or does 2.0 give the developers access to the full power of the vita?

ShopTo have a listing for "Sleeping Dogs HD" on PS4
and Xbone.
Please let this be legit!

personally I'd rater have a sleeping dogs vita than a vita GTA, but I got the feeling that none of them will happen.

PSM 2.0 and Unity for PSM are Vita-only. I can't imagine a lot of people are going to want to use the older versions.

so the unity support is only for PSM games?

Edit: Top of page recommendation: I you have Uncharted GA and like TCGs, try Uncharted FFF. Personally I like the idea of playing one game and get unlocks in another. Look forward to Child of light and Swapper in a couple of weeks.

Import? BTW SSD is having a physical release in EU

Unity supports deployment for Vita proper. Going this route allows you access to Vita's full hardware as well as the suite of network features.

Unity for PlayStation Mobile is a bit slower than native Vita development IIRC and obviously you don't get full access to PSN features. The allure here is that there's no devkit fees or concept approval.

ok, now I understand it a little bit better. Have we seen any vita games made with gamemaker yet?

Yes. lol

It allows them to;
  • enable Vita-specific features for use in PSM titles - like the touchpad, hardware buttons, etc
  • add things that apply to Vita, but not PlayStation Certified devices - like trophies, multiplayer
  • make the games run better, as they're being developed for a certain set of hardware instead of a range

This is all just possibilities however, not a promise or set to be included for sure. The fact that the Vita is getting its own "class" of PSMobile simply opens the door for these possible changes.

Worse than missing out on a meltdown is missing out on the excitement that is watching E3. Sucks man.

Yeah definately. Well i was watching E3 nonstop but i couldnt post and discuss with others, well at least not in this forum.

Sonys E3 conference didnt really do much for me since i'm primarily a PS3/Vita gamer and they completely got the shaft in the conference

So I picked up Red Dead Redemption, for :10bux: from Gamestop, having never played it before. as soon as I got off the train, however that happened, suddenly every couple seconds the audio was hitching but the video wasn't. I'm trying to figure out the weird controls, and how to get that rockstar club outfit, because im a fashion whore, so I walk into the saloon as instructed.

A long loading screen happens, and now I'm supposed to meet up with some random guy outside who I suppose was a guy in a cutscene that never loaded. I get on the horse and realize I'm really not liking how the horse handles, and I'm also getting kind of annoyed at how dark everything is, and how hard it is to make anything out from anything else.

Suddenly, a tooltip comes up, "hold x to match the speed of your partner when you're near!"

I do so, only to find I'm completely stationary but moving forward in 20 foot increments, like I'm jumping from football yard line to yard line without touching anything else. My partner is doing his best to keep up with me, but soon I stop to figure out how a horse can run at all, when he's in the ground up to his shoulders. My "partner" takes advantage of this to run over, or I guess I should say climb over the hitbox of my character and "fly" for a moment before landing on the ground.

I decide it's best to just continue forward. It is at this point that I realize when I press the menu buttons, the legend icons for the buttons i need to press come up, but nothing else shows up.

I'm not sure I'm very good at this game.

The way you use words have turned the discription of bugs into art.

Getting tennis for sure, and real boxing because I want a fight night game and doubt Ill be getting one on PS4 and definitely not at 2 bucks...unless anybody else bought it and has the worst recommendation for a 2 dollar game?

Snagged The Walking Dead for vita second-hand for $15.

Worth it even though I played it already (way back when it was originally released)? Is the vita version decent?

I just bought a PS3 and I've been playing my Vita more. A few hours into Borderlands 2. A few hours into Kingdom Hearts. A few hours into the last of us. But like 15 hours into Dynasty Warriors 8.

GUYS!
I think I might buy a Wii U soon
I must admit I also fancy getting a WiiU after the show Nintendo put on this year. I'm a died in the wool Sony Pony with owning Ps1-2-3 along with a Psp and Vita, but those 2015 WiiU games look right in my wheel house.

It runs poorly. It chugs all the time, freezes for 2-3 sec when you make a decision and sometimes you can die when the action keeps going but the screen is frozen.

Nice, man. I'll be getting mine next month I think, hoping that I'll have enough time to get the bonus game from Mario Kart. Unfortunately I haven't found the Mario Kart bundle at a decent store here, so I'll have to get the old deluxe bundle, the one with both NSMB games (Mario and the Luigi one) and still buy MK.

Guys, take a look at this "PSVita E3 compilation" I made on a spanish forum. I think it's worth seeing.

Special thanks to PlayervsGame, his videos are great.

It's sad that there are quite cool games like DanganRonpa 2, Tales of Hearts, Project Diva and Akiba's Trip but there only was 1 nominee in IGN lists. I'll give it a deeper look later :)

Zelda U, X, $200 Refurbished + Nintendoland, and Mk8 (Plus the club nintendo game) for like $35 are whats pushing me to get one

Are you getting the console and 3 games for 235$? That's quite cool.

I want a racing game on the Vita, is Most Wanted worth the £6.29 they want for it this week?

I liked it, bought it on a promo and enjoyed the free roam and the challenges. Wish that I could do more with a single car, just a few challenges with each car doesn't turn me on that much, but in the end for the price I paid (10 bucks IIRC) it was fun. I'm picky with framerates, but even with a few drops I though it was fine in this regard.

It's worth it, especially that cheap. Online is fun too with buddies although it's only 4 unlike 8 on consoles. I enjoyed the game more on the go than the console version though

Cheers! Assumed I couldn't go too far wrong at that price but I was concerned about performance, think I'll just get it.
