At the end of the first game, Shulk decided to create a new world. I think this is earth from the second game
Kinda hoping they make some mind boggling crossover thing that meshs Gears, Saga, and Blade together in some weird Philosophical way.
If it's anything like other anime mecha stories...

Man, such a great moment that was. Need something as crazy as that in X. The story is totally going to go off the rails, you can already tell.Xenoblade X will be the Bioshock Infinite of the Xeno series!
One of the most surprising (and best) moments in Xenoblade: (late game spoilers)"Landmark: Saturn" popping up on the screen. I was like WTF, lol.

If it's anything like other anime mecha stories, we're definitely going to space. See you guys on the moon.
spoiler for another game -Even in W101 we got a freaking epic mecha battle up in the heavens. I highly doubt they'd hold back in a game of this scale.

I certainly hope not
Hahaha man that was hilarious!!! I must admit, I got fed up with gameplay towards the end so I switched to a Youtube let's play. When it got to that point, I had to rewind just to make sure...
Also, a tip from me to new Xenoblade Wii players, cast away your inner completionist and try not to grind or do too many side quests... I got pretty exhausted and I wish I had pushed through the very extensive story instead...
from the 3 mains they showed?
needs her hair model fixed a bit too jaggy for my liking but since I'm a brown skinned brother she is wifey

I got over hating the models as soon as I saw customization was in

Nooo F you! Shulk all the way! Also a tip for new owners - DO NOT USE SHULK, REYN, AND SHARLA THE ENTIRE GAME. Worst combo! I mean, it's functional, but very boring and fights are actually harder in some ways. And don't use Shulk full time either. Switch characters around often and try new people - they each have a different playstyle which adds a lot of variety to the game.
Shulk was the most boring character to use, he had the least customization when it came to arts. Making crazy specific builds with the other characters was a blast, I only played a lot as Shulk for the first quarter or so of the game. I hope the MC in this game gets more arts.Nooo F you! I know your heart is in the right place, but if people don't use Reyn, they will never know what time it is.

Personally, I started relying more on the Heropon for healing than Sharla as the game went on.Does hero time count?

Yeah, the Heropon has the advantage of being hilarious. XDPersonally, I started relying more on the Heropon for healing than Sharla as the game went on.

Nice! So you can really make your character look like a "real man" rather than some teenager-ish looking guy.

Yuck. Will stick to the usual JRPG protagonist "design"

Looking at the Class list so far for the main character we have
Drifter
Assault
- Samurai Gun
-- (Unknown)
- Shield Battler
-- Heavy Striker
Command
- Sword Fang
-- FullMetal Jaguar
- Long Lancer
-- Star Crusader
Forcer
- Psy Seeker
-- Elite Planner
- Blast Fencer
-- Galaxy Knight
They said the names aren't final so they might be different in the full version. Apparently every character is supposed to have their own set so I'm not sure if it means some are shared or not.
6:50 confirms you can change the time of day, though it seems you can only do it at specific locations.
It's interesting to see some people list Xenoblade Chronicles X as a game where their interest is deflated once they see that the combat is not action but rather is cool-down/autoattack based. I've seen that sentiment a few times. I wonder what people see that lead them to think it's an action game. Well, it only happens of course if they are unfamiliar with Xenoblade in the first place, in which case it's not like the wool's been pulled over their eyes. I hope some of those people still give it a chance.
Oh, that's neat and good to know!

Even though it can be compared to MMO's, Xenoblade's combat didn't really feel like one to me. I think that's partly due to your vocal comrades and how they interact, as well as the Future avoidance mechanic as well as having many arts that require either working with your team to pull off (Topple) or require proper positioning to achieve their full effect.
.
watch both treehouse gameplay videos and that made things MUCH worse for th wait until I am assuming Q3 2015
I must've missed something... because I don't get that reference...[...]
but I welcome the customization over this. I liked how treehouse play white male first run and black female second run, everyone should be happy, seeing the lady run animation made Ubisoft jokes possible
a speed up 14 minutes at that lol I wonder how long the video would be if you did that run in real time
OMG OMG treehouse X in 1080p on my TV eShop
YESSSSSSSSS
The thing is.. besides the visions, every other char could basically do the same thing, one way or the other + they were more interesting to play. Especially Melia and Seven were pretty overpowered... even if Seven is probably on top when it comes to maximum dps, Melia on the other hand is versatile as fuck and can do pretty much everything you need: buff your comrades, kill mechon (without the Monado or anti mechon weapons), stop fatal attacks, ridiculously high dps and she also completely breaks the game with her kick.In my opinion, Shulk was too good. He had visions, could stop fatal attacks with his arts, speed up attacks, and had overall decent stats, especially if you build good relationships with certain party members. Not to mention he was the only one who could hurt a Mecha until a third way through the game. He became broken if you unlock his final talent tree. I played with all the party members, but I always went back to Shulk when it was time to get serious.
