PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

I think autocorrect is messing around with you.

I'm guessing that Amazon sent me those codes because I bought my PS4 from them.

You have to wonder how the heck did "why" end up as "are...?" Autocorrect continues to fail me. Looking forward to the smart keyboard in iOS 8.

I guess if there's no one you know that can use the Alpha code, the people in the begging thread would appreciate it.

The predictive keyboard is only available in the Message app in iOS 8 beta right now. I just want that Swype keyboard ASAP.

I gave one of the Destiny codes to a friend already and was thinking about giving someone here a shot at the other code first. If not, I'll find a way to get rid of it later.

I just got a $10 off PS TV code and 2 more Destiny alpha codes from Amazon. Now what should I do with them?

Do you means Destiny beta codes? You get them for pre-ordering the game. The alpha ends Sunday 11:59PM PST, and codes for that came from Bungie, registering for it, or watching the Sony E3 press conference at movie theaters.

Nope, they're definitely alpha codes. I didn't preorder the game.

Guys, take a look at this "PSVita E3 compilation" I made on a spanish forum. I think it's worth seeing.

Special thanks to PlayervsGame, his videos are great.
Someone else doing SCEA's job, why i'm not surprised? :\
I was tempted to open a thread but i can already imagine how it would end.

It's awesome how such a generic and safe name refers to a game that's not safe at all lol.

Dungeon Travelers 2 being localized would be pretty cool, it's an incredibly decent dungeon crawler despise the art direction that... yeah.

So the lady friend asked me to buy Monster Monpiece (I know none of you actually believe that, but it is the truth), now she's playing Tomodachi Life, so I'm giving it a whirl. Seems fairly fun, but is it absolutely necessary to physically assault my Vita to beat the game? And am I doing it wrong, because half the cards I've upgraded seem worse than before...

Nope, they're definitely alpha codes. I didn't preorder the game.

Got an alpha code last night and I don't think I did anything. One of my friends got one as well, and it won't even let him use it because he doesn't have Plus. Not really sure how they are choosing who gets one.

Is it true that they're not going to be dubbing this and it's just subtitles only?

If true, and this is the future for major Vita games (as so many are Japanese), what a sad future we're in for.

I think its good and a smart decision. Tecmo Koei does this and works out well, we get the games faster and its less of a risk/money expense for them. Besides, i think they are aware that Vita is a niche system with niche games, alot of the userbase will generally accept subs only, and even prefer it

However i do hope we get physical copies

Honestly i like the Tales of Hearts R approach, between English only voices and texts vs Japanese voices and multilanguage texts the second option is way better for the many who don't know English.

I want a racing game on the Vita, is Most Wanted worth the £6.29 they want for it this week?
As others have already answered you, yes it's plenty fun! That is a good price for it as well. Also, if you have people in your friends list that have the game too, and you play while connected to the network, their high scores will show up in your game. Sounds basic, but I'll leave it up to you to see it. It's pretty cool. The more friends you have, the more opportunities to beat those scores. I could always use more VitaBuds, BaronVonBeans is my PSN if you feel like having my mug plastered across some billboards :D Same goes for other non NFS players, too...just mention Gaf!
Any reason why thief ps4 doesn't have a demo up yet, when it's there in the demo section? Or is it a bug?
This has been bugging me to no end. I don't go to the store on PS4 that often, but I fall for it every dang time. "Oh Thief has a dem-....nope... D; "

In this particular case I think it's more because the android characters in the game are dubbed by a voice synthesizer and that works particularly well with a syllabic alphabet-based language like japanese. I'm assuming it would sound like shit in english.

And this is way better than the paid DLC approach they've took with Soul Sacrifice, anyway.

I think reworking the speaking engine to support english may require a bit more work than they thought it was worth. FW has a speech-engine that they use a lot for voices, which made them able to reduce the game size by quite a lot. (It's announced to be about 1.3GB, compare that to GE2 which is over 4.4GB right now). The speech engine does support limited english, as it can pronounce english names somewhat correctly though.

I wish more games could do dual-audio, but if I had the choice between subtitles or no game, i would choose the former.

got it. loaded it up and it's legit... the legends were true :D

Freedom Wars is a first party game. They should both dub it and have EFIGS subtitles (5 main EU lenguages).

We're not talking about a third party but Sony.

At least that's my opinion.

I feel the same. Especially with a game like Tales. Their target audience are anime fans, and those guys are really used to Japanese + mother lenguage subtitles.

I hope the game is good, I liked Demon Gaze so far.

Legends? Doesn't X and X-2 supposed to be in one box?

Asia got both FFX and FFX-2 in separate releases. The latter was digital-only in the west, but it appears Hong Kong and other Asian markets outside of Japan have received a physical release of X-2 in English.

Thanks again Takao. You sure are knowledgeable when it comes to handhelds.

DRPG galore, I just wish it stood a chance for localization.

If they stop at that, I'd actually be VERY fucking happy. Coz things may be getting worse.

It's amazing how the week leading to E3 was kinda nice (6/6 PlayStation's Summer Great Fireworks Display on Nico -
new PS Nova stuff, and even Dangan Ronpa
) and went flat during the Sony conference, then fucking crashed like landslide due to FF TypO.

Looking at Yosp's "E3 interviews" with many Japanese websites, I am not very happy with the stuff I have read.

I know some of you guys has a fight to pick with Sega about their localizations (or Shenmue or Valkyria or PSO), but you guys should buy PS Nova.

Right now, I'm rethinking whether I should buy Freedom Wars next week or wait for a PS Vita the Best release.

Sega brought over the Project Diva F series, so they're alright by my books. PS Nova hasn't been announced for localization yet, right?

Why are you so mad? Tecmo does it with all their games, so are fighting games, sports games , and all those yearly games?

I get mad because they usually add not enough content to justify a full price.

About those other games, I also do not like them, so yeah, I don't like that what was usually common in fighting / sport games is now going to other genres. This practice is common on Japan today, I remember some other RPGs that got this, like Bravely Default, Fantasy Life.

Guys, me and my brother both have a PS4. Does Sony have any kind of family program where we can buy one digital game in one account and both of us can play this game on different consoles using on own accounts?

Like Persona 4 Golden.

If you don't want it, just skip it or wait for it to be cheap.
