Seriously guys. GB has a lot of industry friends, you can't seriously think any of them have a chance of joining them every time they move jobs.

Don't think anyone is seriously thinking that. It's not even what Drake is looking for, I reckon.
 
He's a good PR guy. While I can see him landing jobs at bigger companies or publishers, I'm not sure whether they'd accept John Drake's crazy antics at times.

Maybe to smaller publishers like Devolver?

But who knows, John Drake probably don't have anything planned for now.
 
Just because today is Drake's last day, that doesn't mean he's just found out he's leaving today. He probably had a few week's notice. Maybe GB and him would have worked something out during that time?

Anyways, he seems like a great PR guy that know's what he's doing so he'll land on his feet no problem.

Dude knows how to curb his crazier antics. What's most likely is that we've seen the end of most of the Drake hijinks, as he'll have to be a bit more straightlaced.
 
I could see Drake working for CBSi, but in the same capacity that someone like Alexis does. He would have to be doing work across all the branches of CBSi, rather than being under just GB.

Pepe got sent off because he was too busy thinking about how he was quitting football to take the giant bomb job in two weeks time. This way they go out at the group stage and there is no time conflict.

That's crazy, Giantbomb is slowly becoming the largest website out there. John Drake, the entire staff of Gametrailers, Dan Ryckert, Jared Rosen that dude from Polygon, all of them are joining Giantbomb. That's insane.

Makes me wonder just how bad off Harmonix is at this point. John Drake is Harmonix to me. If they're willing to let the face of their company go, they must be hurting. I'm not sure their Kickstarter would have succeeded without him.
 
John's such a hard worker, I'm sure he'll find a place soon! Would love to see him heading PR at a place like Double Fine or Iron Galaxy though maybe they would be smaller than the Harmonix role he had..
 
Rewatching the Tomodachi Life segment of the latest UPF now while I'm waiting for Ghana - USA to start. Some legendary GB content right there, female Rorie talking is never not funny.

and honestly, even before reading that, he honestly seemed pretty down on the GB panels. either bummed or pissed or some combination of the two.
