PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

Anyone here have an installed size for Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational (North American version) digital, with all current updates?

Trying to decide if I should ditch my physical copy for a digital one.

- Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational is $3.25 on PS+ in North America when the store updates, you should buy it
- Monster Monpiece is a great game about
rubbing boobies
battling monster girls using cards, and is actually pretty strategy-based and fun - you should buy it

This probably doesn't help a *lot*, but the PS3 version with all the DLC minus one course and one character is 3092 MB.
 
Apparently is 1686MB, someone just tweeted it @ me.

That's an acceptable loss, considering it's taking 514 MB as is. Another 1172 MB on my memory card is worth the convenience, especially since it's my most played Vita game.

This happened last year around E3 as well.

It's depressing is all. And now with stock being unavailable in NA...

But hey, great games are still available and are coming. Just need a release date on Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and I'll be all sunshine and rainbows again.

Just, steer clear of my depressing tweets until then.
 
I keep reading that Terraria on the Vita has gone free for Plus users, but on my Vita store (US region) it still says it's $14.99

Is the discount not going to be applied until later today?

Tomorrow?

Is something just wonky? Anyone know?

Store doesn't generally update until after 5 ET since the dawn of time
 
Thanks guys. I'm normally not that jazzed about a game going free, so I'm not looking for it. Didn't know it's usually at the end of the day.
 
We should start up a Hot Shots tourney since so many are getting it today. Shame I don't know much about the online portion of it. Anyone want to head one?

I don't have time to sit down and play through 9 or 18 right now but I love this idea.
It's an amazing portable golf game.
 
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is an immensely frustrating but addicting experience. It clearly wasn't built for the Vita's tiny buttons in the slightest, but damn it's pretty.
 
Is it reasonable to expect a FF X psn-sale sometime soon?
 
So I just clicked on the ps blog post of another world coming next week and read the comments. Apparantly Sony originally forgot to list Vita as one of the platforms in the original post. Says it all really.

Now now don't be talking crazy. Even with Sony ignoring the system it still nukes the 3DS from orbit in terms of game lineup. Words alone can't express how much I was burned by the 3DS. It's disappointing that Sony aren't supporting the Vita first party wise as much as they used to and should be, but at least the indies make up for it. Vita continues to be awesome in spite of Sony's treatment of it. 3DS on the other hand I consider to be a disaster of epic proportions. I've never felt buyers remorse for any system the way I do with the 3DS. Haven't even touched it in god knows how long.

while the pro vita crowd is probably stronger in this topic than most others here on GAF, I tend to agree with the sentiment

I'm going to get persona q for 3ds later this year but I think that's literally the only game in 2014 I'm even looking at

Bought it for Fire Emblem last year and enjoyed that and about 95% of what i've played / what is available is shit I dont want to play ever

why its more popular than the wii u(or even vita) I'll never understand

edit: this is counting pokemon and monster hunter as "shit I dont want to play ever"

Shit, I bought MH3U and Pokemon X and I literally can not remember the last time I played with my 3DS. Persona Q might be the only game I get for it this year since I refuse to pay the exorbitant prices for 3DS games on eShop and retail. However, I play on my Vita almost everyday. It really sucks to see how slanted people are on here towards Vita and 3DS when Vita honestly beats the shit out of it in games and playability.

Completely agree, other than the Pokemon bit - that's the only reason other than Mario that my 3DS has ever gotten any attention. I just laugh at my dusty 3DS and keep playing Vita.

You say some pretty out there things man but this is certifiably insane. Love my 3DS and my Vita pretty much equally, but yikes. Anyway, this isn't a healthy direction to take any thread in. Maybe we shouldn't discuss the 3DS in here; it isn't particularly relevant.

sweet, mine's only 511 MB for some reason. i win.

i tried to replace some physical games with digital when they were going for like $6-10 on PSN, like Rayman, Hot Shots, Lumines etc but when they got rid of the 100 app limit a couple weeks later, I went back to physical and used the space for PS1/PSP stuff. prior to that i had like 25GB free for no reason, and it made sense to use it.

i understand why we can't, but it would be excellent to be able to install games from the card
