Official Destiny Alpha Withdrawal Thread

Pre-ordered, registered beta code. Got two other friends to do the same. Now we wait.

Until then, I will attempt to play the Alpha daily and fail.
 
I.... I just want to play a little more Destiny. Just a quick explore of the wonderful post apocalyptic landscape.

It's like an itch I can't scratch.

My friend bought a PS4 yesterday and preordered Destiny to get into the Beta after watching me play the Alpha lol

This has kinda ruined my interest in playing other games right now.
Had a few rounds of Hardline and I'm just not engaged.

Can't wait to find some awesome scout rifles in the main game. Did they explain how weapon materials and weapon upgrading will work?

I was going to, and then GAF saved me.

I'm gonna play the Beta on my PS3. If it runs poorly, I'm gonna go out and buy a PS4 so I can play the Beta on that instead. If it runs well enough, I'm gonna wait for the launch of the white PS4 bundle and buy that.

lol. I know you're being a bit sarcastic but I'm sure it will do decent. Maybe better than normal shooters since it has leveling and stuff. Not sure how well Borderlands was received over there. I don't really look into stuff like that much. But they have liked some games I didn't think they'd like.

it was combination of a bonus from 10 years at work. Gamestop trade promo ( $150 dollars for PS3 ) and The Destiny Alpha that I got into for going to the Playstation theater event.

So yes.

I also talked my buddy into getting a PS4 to play the alpha with since he was going to wait until July for the Beta.

The Alpha alone really set the bar for me going forward on the quality of game I will invest both time and money into.

I was watching a stream last night and this dude got hit by a car and somehow it allowed him to get in that same car in the passenger seat (game is riddled with bugs lol). XD The game just isn't inspired or polished, so it's just going to help Destiny in becoming the big hit of the year.

Edit: And it really looks like you need a white PS4 to match your TV and Vita.
 
Loved the Alpha but it has destroyed my interest in playing any of my other games. Boo.

We need a way to organize in-game meetups or something to form squads more easily. Despite being added by many GAFfers I haven't had the opportunity to play with them.

Should we have a dedicated thread for that?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I'm new to both the GAF community and PSN (although I've had a ID for years I've predominantly being an Xbox gamer). Definitely on the lookout for Destiny buddies!
 
Do we now if Beta progress will effect the full game?

How do I view those Grimoire cards?



Gonna try pushing my holiday back by a week so I have 8 days off on release

I Would suggest dropping some of the filters (black and white filter etc). Made it more difficult to view the footage without really adding anything to it. Apart from that good stuff and some very good sniping skills may I add!

Thank you very much :) . I thought it would make it more intresting btw not as "always the same look feeling". But nice to know that people dont like it ;)

Because it looks like his head is on backwards. Masterchief's helmet facing one way and then the body facing the other. Once you see it, you can't unsee it kind of thing.

I'm really surprised this made the final cut and no one said anything about it to be honest...

Well, I don't like it because it looks like his head is snapped on backwards (Middle guy).

I would very much prefer the ruined earth pic from space.
