PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | June 2014

Speaking of Persona... I already have P3P (although I haven't played it), but $4 for P3FES... worth it??

Why can't Atlus just come out with the complete Vita version already??? That would make ALL of this much simpler...

Edit: OMG... top of the page suggestion... Persona 4 Golden (obviously) and Touch my Katamari. There's something seriously addicting about rolling everything up in a ball.

I am getting sick of the PS2 Classic version of Disgaea always going on sale and the PSP version never dropping in price.

Different publishers. The PS2 version of the first Disgaea was published by Atlus USA, while every other Disgaea game were published by NIS America.

I thought I could hold off, but as soon as I saw Magical Beat up for sale, I grabbed it without thinking twice. I'm a niche developer's favorite type of customer. :/

The monthly waifu wars are in full swing and I see the Persona 3 wars are starting up. Never change VitaGAF.

Seems like Canada's not going to get Magical Beat. Not showing up on PSN, probably an issue with song licensing or something. I was kind of looking forward to it, playing the hell out of the Japanese demo. Guess I might grab Hotaru no Nikki in a couple days for muh bite-size puzzlin.

P3FES is definitely worth 4$, it's the superior version of P3

Yep, boo-urns.

Posted a comment on the Blog, but not expecting anything (as usual).

Ok Gaf, just bought Tearaway, even though my resources are limited this month because of my newest purchase (
Wii U
). This game better deliver.

Playing Terraria, and I have no clue what I'm doing? I never played a Minecraft type game before, but I'm sure the first thing I need to do is build a house. I got wood. How do I build a house?

Also bought HSG.

EDIT: Or I'll just check out the tutorial, lol.

Totally worth it. I just wish it was longer, that they'd put out some story DLC, or a sequel... I want more. Get on it Sony!

You're in for a treat!

Seeing as I just hit Platinum on Tearaway, it's an amazing, wonderful game.

Sony, give us a sequel pls.

Thanks guys, will probably play this weekend, since I'll be out on a trip.

Also, I have a question for somebody that has bought PASBR: is it really cross-buy? I will not be wasting 5 bucks on a PS3 only game, right? Can I trust you guys?

Another thing: holy crap that is a lot of DLC for PASBR, is the standard game enough? Or too barebones?

Guys, I played Tearaway's demo and I got bored, does it get better later?
Honestly, if you don't like the demo, you probably won't like the rest...it doesn't get dramatically better. I tried to push through, gave up on the game at about 75% of the way through, pretty sure, but I was bored to death*

*please note these comments will most likely be viewed as heretical in most parts of the GAF world.

Not really the popular opinion but...

No. I had to force myself to play through to the end. It's the same thing all the way through. The environments get more interesting but the gameplay really doesn't.

Thanks guys, I think I will pass for now then.

Blasphemer, get out, etc.

In all seriousness, it's not everyone's cup of tea, and that's fine. I felt it was a charming, challenging game, and enjoyed it immensely. If you didn't, that's fine.

My take was that it gets much better, the demo is the worst part of the game in my book.

Having said that, after buying a WiiU this year and playing some of the platformers I missed last year, it's really hard to look back at it quite as positively. I enjoyed it for what it was, but for something some of us talked about reminding them a bit of Nintendo games, it just ends up showing how divorced from Nintendo a lot of us must have been at the time. It's the best actual complete game Media Molecule has made, for what that's worth.

I hate to sound negative, the game was a lot of fun for me as evidenced by it being in my top 5 last year, and I happily own a physical copy. It's more of a PS1 action adventure game, and there were plenty of decent ones of those it could rightly be compared to, it's just pretty lightweight in the gameplay department in retrospect, and the difficulty is essentially nonexistant.

Completely subjective here, but I certainly think $18 is a fair price, but I wouldn't pay more.

Awww, well thank you for taking it easy on me..I had my flak jacket on while hiding in a bomb shelter after I hit "post".

Don't listen to the haters. FES is amazing all around.

I'd second this. The only thing I don't like about FES is not having direct control of your party members in battle, which quickly ceases to be an issue once you get a feel for it and get used to their patterns and playstyles.

I thought FES put in direct control as an option...

I hope that next months ps plus games for the ps4 are better than this months.

I love arcade games but I'm not having any fun with either of them.

I agree. Rise has tits, and is batshit crazy. She'd be the best one in the sack. Chie is like a little sister. I friendzoned her hard.

you monster,
rise is annoying as hell... yukiko is boring as hell.... sure they are all sweet... chie is the best..

...and i feel a little creepy to write posts like this
