pls, don't embarrass us.

Pls Mexico, let's not fuck it all up against Croatia.

Don't mean to be pesimistic, but just remember that they arrived basically on the same situation to the third game in Southafrica...and they still lost.

If México has taught me anything, is to not read too much into this kind of games.

Apparently Lens is not playing tomorrow. Maybe we'll still be playing 5-3-2.
I think I'd actually prefer it. I love the idea of 4-3-3, but van Persie becomes too isolated, and if Robben is going to shoot at the goal instead of pass anyway, it's better if the other strikers can draw the defenders away.

Dzyuba is only good for scoring headers and penalties and can't keep his mouth shut. Kerzhakov has been on the decline for years but should feature off the bench. No doubt that Kokorin is better than both.
He is still young tho and lack of experience.
I was watching Russian game against someone I think that was world cup qualifications and Kerzhakov missed so many chances and it was a new anti-record I think.

Dzagoev was younger at Euro 2012 and he was basically the only player who showed up.

After watching todays highlights, gotta show appreciation for Algeria's penalty. No fuss, short run up and blasted it home.

To stay up for this last game or not?

Hello soccer GAF. I'm not really a fan of the sport or watch very much of it,
i watched Italy / England on Saturday and it was your typical back and forth with someone flopping to the ground every two minutes acting like they need their leg amputated. and I watched the second half of Mexico / Brazil today and it was like a totally different sport!

Mexico plays very hard! they were sliding into people, grabbing and throwing people on the ground and even jumping right on top of people, the best part was NO FLOPPING! players on both sides were getting knocked down and jumping right back up. it was great to see people really playing instead of trying to draw fouls every chance they got.

is the flopping more of a European thing? where north/south American teams play rougher?
what do the Asian teams play like?

i'm definitely going to be watching more matches during the world cup.
