well, tiki taka hasn't been doing Barcelona any favors either...
I think that most teams already learned how to defend against that.
Also... both spain and barcelona are missing Puyol BADLY. That guy was the core of both defenses. Now, both defensive lines a joke and there's no leader there.

I think the number of spots per federation is just right, i mean, i can't think of many teams that should be here.
I was never a fan of tiki tala, such a boring style of play, pass the ball until you can walk into the goal with ti, so amazing :/. Even in it's prime i was never a fan of Barcelona for that reason, they are especially guilty of passing the ball around needlessly until the fall into the goal with it. Germany is way more vertical than Barcelona ever was, i remember Guardiolas Barcelona would never take a shot from long range for example, so boring.
Egypt is slightly better than Algeria and Cameroon but they were unlucky to draw Ghana in the playoff

The two latest winners, four finalists, and seven out of eight semifinalists are European and there are 5-10 European teams that didn't make it to the Cup that would be as good or better than most African and Asian sides, but sure let's take away some spots from them.
Who said a World Cup should have equal representation from all continents? That's ridiculous. A World Cup should only include the very best teams in the world and the only reason it doesn't is because Blatter wants dem votes from Asia and Africa

I believe we should have more intercontinental playoffs instead of some direct spots. CAF should definitely start having one team go into the playoffs seeing as they always bring one really weak team every tournament. Even Europe should have one team in them.
That's the unfairness of all sports. Why is it that gymnasts are capped at only 5 people per country? Because you'd have like 20 Americans, Russians, Chinese completely take over the top and have very little to no other countries. That's how the sport loses relevance and diminishes then.
If the world cup was only Europe vs South America teams, then why be surprised if Asia, Africa and North America ignore it in a sense. Yes it's unfair, but it gives a chance to develop the sport, have local players and teams for people to follow. Look how well South Korea and Japan have done since hosting the world cup etc.
As for CONCACAF and the rest, Mexico just got a draw against the host team and one of the best in the world. So come on. The limited spots for South America and Europe make it that much more tougher for teams to slip up and miss out.

Italy: cheating shits in 2006 sure, not like we got some reds for no reason that world cup (zambrotta) or were eliminated by a corrupt referee in 2002, not to say the team has consistently placed in top3 for a reason.
France: seriously this is stupid, i'm italian and don't even mind france, they didn't do anything as bad as england 1966. That Ronaldo is strange but on the pitch they were the best team that year. And we lost to them twice in a row (1998-2000, won in 2006 finals).
