The one thing I dont like with the new type of MGS is that its making to much fun out of everything.

Metal Gear Solid for PS1 is the best in the series by far, it has the right tone and it´s more serious.
I wish Kojima could go back to that type of MGS

I can't believe Kojima actually went and made a real open world game with the meticulousness known to the Metal Gear series. I know this has been announced as an open world game but I didn't really believe it until now. This is awesome.

It is not an open-world-game though. Alt least not in the GTA-sense. It is a linear game with missions in an open world. You can not ignore those missions. It seems like you will not be able to free-roam - at least not while playing the story. I asked Kojima about this at E3 and he pointed out that any given mission sets limits to the player. In the shown example the player could wander off to explore, but Miller will be executed within three days of ingame-time. Then the mission is failed. Kojima pointed out the freedom of how to approach a mission is the big thing for him, not the freedom to explore the world.
 
Looks great but im kinda upset that snake is so freaking quite, dont like thew new direction they went with him. Feels like thew new voice actor charged them per line or they only had him for a day or something. But besides that the game looks freaking amazing! Loled at the sheep chilling in mother base. Cant wait for this game

Missed most of it because of work, but what I did see looked incredible.
Will have to watch it later.

I can already tell from what I saw that this is a day 1 purchase.
 
Yeah that demonstration was really good. It has all the elements I loved about Peace Walker, while moving forward to a more seamless and detailed world capable on consoles, with deeper gameplay and options. Being able to move around and see the various parts of Mother Base feels like the sort of thing Kojima always intended for Peace Walker but couldn't fit it in because it was on a portable device. Mmmmm.

The Peace Walker sequel we deserve.

Do we know how long the day/night cycle takes in real time?

A little disappointed they are moving away from the more realistic tone of Ground Zeroes and going back to the over the top silliness, but I'd be lying if what I saw didn't look fun. I just hope you aren't having to constantly spam the Fulton mechanic, a bit immersion breaking.

What's the real purpose of upgrading your Mother Base though?

Games are supposed to be ya know, fun above anything else. If the gameplay isn't fun, then everything else is for nothing.

Wow, looks AMAZING! Honestly, who's gonna want to play this game on PS3/360? Looks WAY too good for that - glad I'm getting a PS4 next week so I'll be ready.
 
Cool stuff, it looks like a natural transfer of the crazy stuff you could do in MGS3 into an open world environment.

I noticed that the Jackie Tan character in the game wore the same outfit as Quiet while being drowned by that soldier, so she's definitely a POW. Maybe it's been known but it's the first time I noticed the connection.

Game looks just as amazing as expected, Kojima's really delivering.

It looked awesome, but I'm cautious as I don't want to watch 30 hours of cutscenes inbetween 5 hours of gameplay anymore. (last MGS I played felt like that)

I'm not the biggest MGS fan (though I've played and completed most of the games outside of the original MG 1 and 2, Peace Walker and the Ac!ds), but I have to say, this is looking like one of the best games ever made. GZ was absolutely mind-blowingly good to me and this looks to expand on that a hundred-fold. 2015 is gonna be absurd.

I really wonder if snake not talking much is just because they won't record most of his lines until later in production. It did feel weird that he didn't say anything so hopefully it's something they plan to add later.
 
Looks amazing. If this was shown at E3 it would be been my game of the show.

I love that they have integrated the base mechanics from Peace Walker. The open world integration also seems to work very well although it does seem very mission specific. Heres to hoping this is longer than 2 hours!

Another 2015 title though :( 2014 sucks balls!
