Is that maybe the issue where former HaloGAF members are discussing clan ideas etc within threads and no one else knows.
I don't care who runs the group / clan, but was unaware of any of this stuff except for the Alpha clan.

Yep, DestinyGAF PS4 needs to be disbanded. It is just fragmenting the GAF user base. Everyone needs to join DestinyGAF no matter your platform.

as I said. I PM raven. we will talk about this. but I still firmly believed that having separate groups will be better.
Unless there is any easy method to migrate over 100 members it would be unfair to those already joined for it to disband.

There's nothing to sort out really. I appreciate your honest and well-meant effort, but your DestinyGAF PS4 is a group and this DestinyGAF is a clan ( which can be divided into groups ), so there is no real need for the DestinyGAF PS4 group.
Even if it turns out not to be possible to divide clans into groups, I still think it would be better to list the members under platforms in the OT instead of making separate groups for each platform.
Again, if all these plans where long made and agreed upon, how about announcing it or something like that?
Not sure it is the right way to assume everyone knows who is charge and what their plans are.

I think you're getting to hung up on how these choices were made and who is going to 'lead' DestinyGAF, but in my eyes it doesn't really matter. What matters is that there is one clear-cut single place for Gaffers to unite, and that is why we must draw the line right here and now as to what is going to be that place. The longer the DestinyGAF PS4 group stays open, the more confusion will arise and the more people will have to migrate over when the game hits. If you're so bothered about who is leading it, then we can have that discussion. But right now, we first need one single clear-cut clan.
I don't think anyone here should be accusing anyone of stealing or doing anything wrong.
These "plans" where not setup or discussed in an open fashion, so those piling on with that reasoning shouldn't be.
Unless there is an easy method to migrate members over in an easy manner it would not be best policy to disband the group with over 100 members already and more joining,

It matters when we have posters throwing around "stealing" and "rights" in regards to this issue.
I don't think old members of HaloGAF should naturally assume everyone knows who they are and what the succession line was.

There is one way. That is to announce in your Group as a public announcement that all members need to move to the official NeoGAF Destiny Clan on Bungie.net.

Just my opinion.
I think there should be a discussion and if one group for all can be deemed to be better and the individual groupings for platform for example are not going to be lost in one mega group then that's an idea.
Both JBurton and I dont care who lead DestinyGAF,
Personally I just think having platform specific group would be less confusing for people to have scroll through 300 threads just to find the thread they are looking for.
Having 400 players in a PS4 group is easier to manage than having 2000 people in a general group composed of every systems.

How about moving all people from the PS4 group into this one, and make Shadownet an admin who is responsible for all PS4 players there. Problem solved.
Please tell me someone can help me with this. I'm having severe withdrawal from destiny, BUT mainly because of the soundtrack we got to sample in the alpha. I've been digging everywhere to try and find a rip of one of the songs, and so far have had no luck.

That was my Plan. But, it might not be PsychoRaven's. Whatever it is, I'm handling over Admin rights to him once he gets in this Clan.
I thank you for the suggestion. But I wouldnt even care if I'm admin or not.
I and some people like the idea of having a group dedicated to one console. Easier to manage and all that stuff.
Edit: think about it like this.
in School, why do we have four 5th grade classes? because the classes are too big, the school system divide them between all the 5th grade teachers so the kids are easier to manage.
That what Im proposing. That me, Jburton, heck even Raven if he wanted to can help PS4 GAF, and other people can lead PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One GAF.

We're still roughly a month out from Beta and at that point, 2 months from Launch. There is absolutely no need to rush to join up in any Bungie.net groups or clan system.
The system that they have over at Bungie.net is really most useful for people who don't already have a centralized forum or website to congregate at. For us, it's redundant.
I understand everyone is excited and wants to get all this stuff squared away but there's plenty of time for all of that. Everyone should just D-pad Down and reminisce or D-pad Right in celebration as we were doing before the whole group thing even came up.

There's basis off the map footage shown in the latest E3 trailer. Also, has nothing to do with game design, more to do with disappointment of lack of content. (One raid, cut planets)
