For the umpteenth time by the god knows how many other posters I here what you're saying and have done all day.

The fact that all most all other multi plats have had separate clans based on format and region makes this not out the ordinary.
 
Also I dont want my name to say ingame MMaRsu and under my name- DestinyGAF Ps4. Everybody who I meet will already be on PS4.

Yo Burton I know what you are saying but for this game, in this case there are no caps on members and therefore it is unnecessary to create seperate clans for platform. I find it hard that people are not understanding the whole ordeal.

I don't know about others but I'd rather have a clan/group named "NeoGAF [PS4]" instead of DestinyGaf [PS4]. I'm playing Destiny on there why would I need to know the name of the game I'm playing. Sorry if it's arising more unwanted problems. It just seems a bit redundant imo.

First off it's appreciated that you aren't insulting or whining with this response, just bringing discussion. Personally I didn't create the group, and I'd rather end the drama. Let's try sensible solutions. We can wait until Bungie gives more information on clans and groups. We could take it to Bungie community management see if they can join the two. Or the two group creators can sit down and talk it out to find a solution together. I'm only here as a spokesperson. But if the mods want nothing to do with it, then it comes down to the members of DestinyGAF (not the groups). Do they want a separate console group and clan system? Or an integrated system? Make a thread with a poll, let's see what the people think. This was made for GAF members after all, not for admins to lord over their power. If the GAF people want something we should cater to them, whether it's a joined or separate thread.

Just like you're saying this was done too early, creating the first group was done a bit early too.

It is a preference rather than a lack of understanding, also after having spent a large portion of the day approving members and fending off criticism to expect anyone to roll over is a bit much, especially based on the same point of view that you and others have made but has not swayed anyone.

1. It wasn't directed at you solely, more at the group of you as a whole coming here once again to complain. Take some initiative. We can't do anything. Maybe whining was a strong word, but you're not taking any action to correct this. You're coming here to basically say it's not fair.

Because? You can still just play with ps4 gaffers if a sub clan is created under the main DestinyGAF group? You can pick them out like that. I'm trying to understand the reasoning here.

Instead of group within a group, it is a group on its own with less sub sections needed to cover region, game types etc.

It's is simpler in my opinion, you will disagree and the merry go round will continue.

2. Look at the the words being used from the opposing side. You're basically on the offensive and when we get defensive and don't roll over it's our fault? And don't tell me you're not on the offensive, just look at the poll created. Guiding people into choosing what you (again you as a whole) want with word choice is kind of bullcrap.

Whatever guys, I just feel that this is just a bunch of miscommunication really. There is no need for us all to be seperate. We could all have the same ingame tag and everything. but hey if yall want to split it up into 4 different platforms and timezones or whatever thats all up to the guy who created the specific ps4 group.

Im not saying tear it all down.

Aren't we part of both groups? Who said playing together can't happen. There will most likely multiple PS4 clans from both groups.

If tags are based on clan and not on group, and due to limits on clan numbers there might be a need for a number of clans then people will not all have the same tag.

I've contacted neogaf admins to see if by some chance they can chime in with their opinion on what is the best course of action. Even if not common for them to intervene, it could stop drama all together. Hopefully they respond. I hate heated discussions over such trivial matters. This energy could be better utilized to call each other's favorite game shit.

I doubt they will do anything, neither can they force people into a mega group rather than platform specific ........ this is choice, not confusion ......nor is any of it for the sake of drama.
