Btw I couldn't change my Display Name to match my PSN ID because it has 2 symbols and Bungie doesn't allow them, I hope thats not a problem. I checked the "Display on public profile" (PSN ID) option under "Account Settings" though.

About to send an application, and already sent one to the main group from the Alpha thread. Will have to look into PvP/Crucible in the Beta since I skipped it in the Alpha.

First thing first, you have go head over to the other forum. Make a thread with the following title.

"South American Players - Official Thread."

That will be your domain. You're in charge of players in that group who are looking for people to play with. If you need an example just look at one of the other threads :)

Their account system is a bit convoluted since they use third party services for logins. You basically can't unlink an account that's only tied to 1 service cause then there would be no way to log into that account. You have to link 2 services to an account if you want to remove 1.

So you have to first link a dummy throwaway account (either Gmail, FB, XBL, or PSN) to the account you want to unlink and then unlink the PSN/XBL account from it. After that you should be able to link the PSN/XBL account with the other account.

I guess I'll post here the same thing I posted in that thread:

Assuming that groups will become the same thing as clans once Destiny (and/or the beta) is out (which I don't think we actually know for certain yet?), and assuming that there are no limits to membership numbers that would cause problems with putting all Destiny-playing GAFers into one clan, the best course of action in my opinion would definitely be to have one single clan, simply called "DestinyGAF" that GAFers on all platforms will join.

I don't care who's in charge of it (as long as they do a decent job, of course) and I don't care if that means that this group becomes the primary clan or if the existing "DestinyGAF" group does, the most important thing fro my point of view is that there's one central GAF clan. With that said, I'd support just using the existing DestinyGAF group and focusing on getting all the Destiny GAFers (including members of this group) in there, and if there's an issue of moderation or group ownership, you guys can handle that privately, as that kind of drama ultimately isn't that relevant to anyone who's not personally invested in the issue of moderation.

Just my two cents.

Basically, have one group/clan called DestinyGAF, get everyone in there regardless of platform, let the admins/moderators of the existing groups figure that out among themselves, as having a group as many people as possible can use is more important than mod/admin drama/egos.

I vote for disbanding and joining the other group. You won't do it though as shadownet and yourself are on a power trip and want control for yourself. At least, that is how it seems.

I'm on no power trip and insulting people based on nothing is very nice of you, quite fucking sick of taking shit from people based on nothing all day yesterday and now more today.

I gave my opinion based as a member and nothing more.

It isn't based on nothing, it is based on your attitude since you were appointed an admin here. I've been following this from thread creation, it seemed wrong then, and it feels wrong now. Doesn't the fact its pissed off a lot of people not tell you something?

My two cents.

The bigger group we have the better.

So have all users migrate to DestinyGaf and
Just start getting ready for the beta and launch.

I think it is time to stop attacking them with being on a power trip. That's getting us nowhere.

I feel partly responsible for starting that ( though I still stand by all the points I have made ), but it's time to stop the attacking and start discussion. From what I can understand, there is now at the very least a poll within the group itself ( I can't check it out, because I'm not in the group ), and that is a step in the right direction. I hope that it will be the starting point of a discussion and that we can figure something out as a whole, without splitting up or splintering off.

My attitude?

It mostly pissed off those that where involved in the other group, plenty of people where happy to join (like myself) as it made sense to have a separate group based on platform, it is how it has been done in the past for other multi platform titles.

Having been accused of plenty and fending off criticism has obviously pissed me off, you try being on the end of it all bloody day and see how pleasant you remain.


Happy enough to walk away, in fact I will ........ tired of fending off bullshit from people accusing me of being this and that.

I just wanted to join a group to play Destiny with, joined both before knowing about any drama and felt one based on a specific platform was the right way to do it.

OK, you are right. I apologise (to jburton) for saying he is on a power trip.

The poll doesn't mention a merge, only a name change. It also talks about including Xbox One players which goes completely against the point of the group. Which again makes me doubt shadownet's motivation here.
 
Why all the fuss, let people decide who they wanna join ?
Who cares if its DestinyGAF or DestinyGAF PS4 as long as there is an option.
If people would have mind they would join just one and leave the other one alone.
The people of GAF have spoken that two clans can co-exist.

Totally agree with you the drama needs to stop. Where all mature adults here.
