Bradley is the MLS' big "get" and golden boy, and ESPN just signed a tv deal with the MLS. Follow the money.

Pretty much. You can trace a ton of giveaways and chances for Portugal directly to Bradley. Not to mention the two complete clusterfucks in front of the goal he was directly responsible for, though Dempsey saved him on the second one.

Klinsmann already said in an interview he will sing to both national anthems. Merkel will be pleased and use her mobile to instruct Löw to let Klinsmann's USA pass.
(The NSA will monitor that call and tell Klinsmann in advance so he can safe his best players)

Dat title.

I believe you guys can.
So far Belgium has been the biggest disappointment of the world cup... maybe not as big as Spain tho.

Why? Because they are a young team that has only managed to get 6 points from their first two games - being the absolute maximum one can get?

This fucking thread man.....

this is good for the sport in America, now you can enjoy true drama from the beautiful game.

hell even idiots like Elpresadouche sat through the entire game, that says something

Ah, damn. All that work just to blow it in the 5th minute of stoppage time.

I blame the ref for inexplicably adding 5 minutes to the second half while the first half was only 2 even with the water break.

Not really. But.

Anyway, I'm all in for a U.S./Germany collusion tie.

5 minutes has been standard for all the manous games. it's been 6 more than once. it's always shorter before half time.

watch more football.

They will want to save some energy for the next round.
They will want to avoid injuries for the next round.
They will want to avoid yellow cards for the next rounds.
A draw means they're top of the group. A loss could mean they're out.

We've seen this stuff time and time again. Neither side will go all-in, and if it's still tied by the 70th minute or so, it will stay that way.

Right. I don't honestly believe there will be any actual collusion, but everyone knows whats up. If you are able to make sure everyone is fit and ready for the knockout round, you might as well.

Fuck off should have fired Bradley like his pops.
Seriously though he's been pretty shit and that missed goal would have been huge

Ignore the picture, it has way too much extraneous information on it:

If USA draws with Germany, USA and Germany go through

If Ghana draws with Portugal, USA and Germany go through

If USA loses to Germany and Portugal wins against Ghana, Germany goes through and either Portugal or USA will go through depending on goal difference

If USA loses to Germany and Ghana wins against Portugal, Germany goes through and either Ghana or USA will go through depending on goal difference

Now simply swap USA and Germany and you have the results should USA win.

Why is anyone acting all disappointed. Prior to today, many on here were saying Portugal would blow us out. We should have won this game. No opponent is taking the US lightly anymore.

Just let that marinate for a second.

We're in the 2nd toughest group and just lost a chance to lead the group. I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I'm pleased as punch. The US men's national soccer team is a legitimate world player. This year for sure, and hopefully going forward. Advance or not, this is a great accomplishment.

Anyone counting us out so quickly against Germany hasn't learned their lesson yet. PEACE.

Well, I'd say if the US can even tie Germany, other than it looking like total collusion, then they definitely deserve to be where they are and advance.

Why does everyone think Germany will steamroll the USA? Are they favorites to win the World Cup?

Favourites
Strongest showing in 2 games
Klose is 1 goal away from breaking a WC record
Younger player Muller is on a scoring rampage and is starting to catch up to Klose record already
They really really want to win the tournament

ESPN just put this up on how the US can qualify.

Simplest Scenarios

- Germany Advance with win/draw vs USA

- United States Advance with win/draw vs GER

- Portugal Advance with win vs GHA AND GER/USA win IF POR wins tiebreak with loser.

- Ghana Advance with win vs POR AND with GER/USA win IF GHA wins tiebreak with loser.

U.S. Scenarios

- Win/draw vs Germany

- Loss and Portugal-Ghana draw

- Loss and win tiebreaker vs Portugal-Ghana winner

If someone could just clarify the bolded, I'd appreciate it - they'd have to play either of those teams again in that situation?

Welp, Portugal don't deserve to go through after 2 shit performances, but that equaliser gave a small glimmer of hope.

But Portugal is playing with no heart, I expected that today but I didn't see it, so I no longer expect it against Ghana.

Shittest world cup I have ever witnessed as a Portuguese.

They remind me a lot of Holland in 2012. Weird preparations, lacking fitness and just no chemistry. And 2 years before they were near finalists as well. This is one of those tournaments that was meant to be a disaster for them.
