Over here football is the sport, so for most of us who grew up in state schools, if you didn't like or weren't good at football you were fucked because there's virtually nothing else. Just another example of the USA overall problems. Their defense can't play consistent at all. Some parts they look amazing, others its looks like highschool kids running around.
