I prefer Ness as the actual character but honestly... Lucas played so much better in Brawl than Ness did. If Ness played as well as he did in the N64 version though... I'd totally go with that. He was downright overpowered in the original. Being able to juggle with him was AWESOME.

How? Most of Lucas's differences were in his normal moves. Customizations are only for special moves.

I guess, but everything cool about Lucas was in his A-moves anyway. He was basically just a more stylish and satisfying Ness. If we do lose Lucas I hope Ness inherits some of his attacks for a nice composite moveset with the best of both worlds.

I think Krystal would be the character that would make me closest to pulling a pop-o-matic. Everything about her, from her fans to the fact that she'd be another StarFox character, would be terrible.

Because in my opinion they have no place individually and only worked well as part of Pokemon Trainer. Especially Ivysaur. They may have earned a place now because of Brawl, but there was never a chance that Ivysaur would be a playable character on his own.

But they earned their place because of Brawl. You could just as easily something like Jigglypuff should be gone because it wouldn't ever get in if it hadn't been sort of popular when Smash 64 first came out.

Glad Pokemon Trainer is out. Bummed Lucario is still in. Would love for Lucas, Wolf, R.O.B., and Snake to be cut. Would be bummed if Meta-Knight were cut, but not heartbroken.

I suppose at a push I could move R.O.B to the same group as Snake. Something I've come to terms with the possibility of getting cut but really really don't want it to be. He's completely unique but I can understand if he was a one off experiment, and is replaced by something equally as wacky. (He was also a one off in Mario Kart DS). Snake is there for obvious reasons (and if he is gone I will miss his stage and music) but R.O.B I suppose is just one notch below Jigglypuff, Ness, Game and Watch, Falco and Meta Knight in how upset I would be.

Something about Squirtle and Ivysaur having their own slot feels odd to me. If they are there then so be it. I don't necessarily believe in a character "taking up" a slot, but that'll be a lot of Pokemon (gen 1 at that) if Jigglypuff and especially Mewtwo were to return too.

Because shares moves stolen from Fox, all his b moves are basically Fox's, but obviously work diffrently. The only thing that's great about him is that all his attacks are his own.
