Banning players after a match is part of the rules. The referee will be asked if he saw it and made the decision not to do anything. If he says yes, nothing happens. If he says he DID NOT see it and thus made no decision either way, there can be a ban after the match.
regardless of anyone's opinion on the banning matter I just honestly think it won't happen, which is what im saying.
never said it should or shouldnt
how is it opening a can of worms when a player who bites someone for the third time in his career--as far as we know--gets a post-match ban because the referee didn't see anything?
Even the President of the Italian Football Federation has resigned
beIN SPORTS ‏@beINSPORTSUSA 6m
BREAKING! Cesare Prandelli & President of the Italian Football Federation, Giancarlo Abete both resign from their positions. More to follow.
@GrantWahl: FIFA investigating Suárez incident, "will gather all the necessary elements in order to evaluate the matter."
So Costa Rica could beat Uruguay and Italy, that both beat England, but couldn't beat England themselves.
The beauty of Football
I think if you open up the can of worms that is banning players after the fact you'd get a whole bunch of different WC outcomes with people complaining from all sides possible. All im saying.
Should have been called on the field? YES, as any other foul play. What happens now is beyond the point im making about this match.
In my opinion, every continent should have at least 1 secure slot, it's a world cup, and every continent should be present.why should they even have a slot at all.
Oh I know, I just used to like watching sports center and espn but the constant fellating of lebron is tiring so I won't be watching after the world cup.NBA is the worst fucking league

when did I say I was not aware? I just think it's a can of worms and that FIFA and any league is very delicate about it.
Soccer rules are shit in many aspects and many things need to change. No one's denying that.
Good. Good.@GrantWahl: FIFA investigating Suárez incident, "will gather all the necessary elements in order to evaluate the matter."
so Prandelli resigns and Hodgson plans to stay in charge until 2016. Who would've thought.
the will sweep it under the rug like they always do.

There's no can of worms because it's something that regularly happens in every competition.
When you know nothing it's better to stop, because you're only going to look like a fool.
How much money is it?Knew I should've bet a few bucks on a Suarez bite

Good. Good.
All according to keikaku.
what makes you say "I dont know nothing"? like honestly?
when did I say this is not something that happens? that I was not aware of Leonardo?
all im saying is that it's a slippery slope. Im talking about the idea of banning players after matches in general, not wether it already happens or not.

Okay, so you think it's not "opening a can of worms" when it's about serious injuries, but biting players is okay. Got it.is that what happened?
pretty big difference between a player getting a serious injury or not
is that what happened?
pretty big difference between a player getting a serious injury or not
it can, it wont
Yeah. I have no idea why gaf members post that...Does keikaku mean plan?
I don't think you get what slippery slope actually means.

I think we're talking about a sport where a lot of shit doesn't get called, ever. I think the rules need changing, I think banning players after matches is weird and should be avoided by a better way to make that shit effective instantly on the field.
"It'd be horrible for people to face proper punishment for egregious behavior" Your posts in here are a fucking joke mate, what are you, the Seanspeed of biting?
sounds good
he shouldn't be allowed on the pitch again during this world cup at the very least
This is getting fucking ridiculous. If a player does something like this and doesn't get caught in the match, of course they should be punished afterwards. Otherwise, what's to stop them from trying this shit again? It's baffling you keep defending this.what makes you say "I dont know nothing"? like honestly?
