2014 FIFA World Cup |OT4| What can European men do against such reckless heat?

Which pisses me off because their World Cup coverage has been fantastic.

Oh well time to stop watching espn after this then.

I honestly don't think it will affect their WC coverage much. Maybe less baseball on Sportscenter (woohoo!), and NBA Draft will definitely take a hit. They have every interest in hyping this WC and USA angle is playing out pretty perfectly for them.

Uruguay manager Oscar Tabarez says he will see how he can defend Suarez. "This is a football World Cup, not about morality."

Tabarez just made a long defense of Suarez, including lashing out at media for targeting him. One journalist clapped afterward.

Uruguay coach suggesting questions about Suarez bite are because he's the `` the preferred target of certain media.''

It's not the morality World Cup lads.
LMAO

That spin.

Italy-GAF, are you ready?

So, can anyone tell me what Uruguay commentators/fans saying about Suarez's bite. Are they praising him as a hero like in 2010, indicating that in your eyes, he can do no wrong? Or do you actually have standards and are condemning him for it?

In 2010 the illegal action he performed was sanctioned while in the game. So i don't see how it's a comparable situation.

Salsa's mental gymnastics are hilarious. First he says I'm not defending Suarez he's an asshole and then he says he's a victim of being a tabloid target. Then he questions whether a bite happened at all, saying he only believes it was a headbutt.

Come. the fuck. on. He bit the guy, nobody forced him to do it. Accept it.

Yes, there were bite marks.

How can you bite someone with only your upper teeth tho? Also seeing the teeth mark, his mouth is fucking huge....anyway looks fishy to me, i guess what happened was that the italian player hit his shoulder in Suarez teeth, there was never a biting attempt.

jeez this is not what he did at all

dude got asked questions about Suarez 10 times and said he already answered them plenty. There was no flip, just that he couldnt comment without having seen the footage.

Those were left by his bottom row of teeth. Bite came from behind.

Also, anyone against giving .5 UEFA slots to Oceania should be banned from football.

why should they even have a slot at all.

Oh I know, I just used to like watching sports center and espn but the constant fellating of lebron is tiring so I won't be watching after the world cup.
NBA is the worst fucking league

Disgusting.

Lol did you even watch it? Suarez moved into him, not the other way around. And just because no lower teeth marks shows doesn't mean it's impossible or they have not been used. On top of that, i think i see a lower mark.

The slo-mo they just showed here in Germany showed that be bit quite low and used mainly his upper teeth. Hope you guys get to see that as well.

social media blows up if Suarez farts after eating a sandwich

not saying he's not being an asshole, but he has the biggest tabloid target on his back, no need to make decisions based on that

LOL

Oh Salsa... at minimum he's out of the Cup. Just stahp pls.

What is the origin of the pic without marks? Is it more credible than reuters?
Suarez is a piece of shit and he definitely tried to bite, but I'm interested in who is really lying here.

So he did bite him and deserves to be punished for?

I think if you open up the can of worms that is banning players after the fact you'd get a whole bunch of different WC outcomes with people complaining from all sides possible. All im saying.

Should have been called on the field? YES, as any other foul play. What happens now is beyond the point im making about this match.

This is the weakest attacking Uruguay team in history. What on earth happened to Cavanni? Lavezzi devolved into a sub. And Suarez can't stop biting people and will probably not play. I'll take a perma ban if Columbia doesn't beat them by 2 points. Quote me on this.

stahp

not uruguayan but I still can't believe the salt over the 2010. The guy got a red card (e.g. was PUNISHED) by the handball. The Ghana player missed the penalty after that. Had he scored, nobody would've given a shit about the handball. There's a difference between that and biting somebody.

I actually praised him for the handball. Not a shameful action at all. As you say, biting is a completely different issue.

Now I'm really dead. This is too much.

The BBC just showed it and its clear as day, he did bite him. What's more shocking is the other bite he did in another match (didn't catch which it was) that looked like he was actually trying to eat the other player, how on earth was he not banned already?.
