No reason to pile on Salsa anymore, LOL, but he is posting like he is Uruguay's coach or FIFA is reading his comments before making a decision. Guy can't really commit to accepting that he deserves a tough punishment because it's not his first offense.

Salsa, just let it go dude. You know what he did, you know you are wrong, he is going to get punished and that's that. You are better than this.

I think we're talking about a sport where a lot of shit doesn't get called, ever. I think the rules need changing, I think banning players after matches is weird and should be avoided by a better way to make that shit effective instantly on the field.

A call on the field is always the decision of the referees and will impact the ongoing game. It's subjective, they make mistakes. That's part of the game. An ban after a match for extremely unsportsmanlike behaviour really doesn't have anything to do with it.

This wasn't a football play though.

Not surprising. He's from Uruguay and doesn't want to face they're losing their best player for the rest of the tournament.

Man, okay. I get that im the only guy from Uruguay in here (or apparently the only one that cares this much), but it gets tiring to see that the only posts that get attention are the ones where im apparently defending Suarez to some, even tho i've said variations of this:

It's just a bummer really. Im glad that Suarez is in our side, and he's world class, but ffs.

I don't much care for what people focus after matches cause drama is the first thing that goes wide, but it is a shame to have such idiotic behaviour taint stuff like this.

again; in terms of what it does to affect the match, it's the same as the penalty that wasnt called, or any other play like that. Furthermore tho it's just embarrasing on a big picture level. No need, we have this clean. Suarez gonna suarez.

many times.

Suarez is being a shit stain, no one is debating it.

if the FIFA decides to ban Suarez from the rest of the tournament I won't cry foul. If it doesnt happen I wont either.

is that so hard to understand?

Luis Suarez

Where to start with this guy? A jack in the box. An enigma. A timebomb. One of the best, one of the worst. Jawdropping, for the right and wrong reasons. Bound to do something that leaves you in a state of disbelief. Bound to do something that leaves you in a state of disgust. Third best player in the world, debatably. Just had his best season as a pro, scoring 31 goals in 33 league games, with no penalties. Propensity to lose his head, combined with stunning ability and a steel desire to win. Entered sporting infamy worldwide when he handballed a certain last-minute Ghana goal off the line in 2010, from which they missed the penalty and lost the shootout. Followed that up with a smidgeon of racist abuse, an insulting gesture towards some fans, and a gentle knawing of an arm. I'll be honest, I should hate him, and you should too. But he possesses such talent, it's worth watching football matches just to see what he can come up with. Not just one to watch for Uruguay, one to watch overall. Uruguay's top scorer with 38 goals in 77 games. Coming into the tournament on the back of an operation on his knee. May underperform given that fact, in which case the entire tournament is a write-off.

Not really worth all this discussion at this point. Fifa is away and looking into it so they say. Suarez deserve what is likely to be a tournament ban from this point on. Uruguay may or may not beat Colombia and that will be the end of that. Worst thing Suarez has done is potentially mess up his chances at Madrid and instead James Rodriguez will don the white shirt(not a bad substitute).

I also think its time we started punishing players (after the match) that clearly are diving/trying to gain a penalty or another playing a card. Come the fuck on, fuck diving and one way to stop them is by banning them for a few matches after said game

Every WC that is not on European soil, EU should have its WC slots reduced to 9-10.

It's crazy how potentially only 4 out of 13 EU teams will advance. Outside of Asia, they're the worst performing confederation this WC.

then we need a video ref

until then retroactive punishment will have to do

Ultimately I do not care and yet continue to debate the matter.

the only thing im debating is my stance on the matter, which people seem to be confusing

if you state something a lot of times and you get responses like "lol embarrasing you're clearly just rooting for your team go back to steam thread" then I think you'd wanna clear things up

im 1vs100 in here thanks to my country being 3 million people, and im cool with it as long as I make myself clear.

If he's not banned I hope FIFA at least make him wear a muzzle for the rest of the tourney
