Did this toilet company steal a confession story from GAF to make a commercial?

I remember this thread as well, but no, seriously: I remember reading the SAME EXACT story. The bag of poop; the "call me" note; forgetting aforementioned bag of poop. At first I thought it was deja vu, but then I was predicting the entire commerial beat by beat, detail by detail.

it definitely must have been posted on gaf at some point, because i remember it clearly also

edit: seems it's just one of those email legends

I just gave it a good wack on the pointed side and it cracked alittle. Think that makes it fake?

This is an ancient urban myth, I remember it from the early 90's at college, friend of a friend etc. Back then it was one of the student nurses who had left years before, always someone who can't deny or confirm. I imagine it came about as a what if, "I pulled a bloke and had to go for a dump, and it wouldn't flush!", friends laugh and then inject possible scenarios to make things worse. One of them repeats it as gospel and it goes from there.

Thing is though you'd just use the bag to push it around the bend. Crisis averted.

On the other hand, I did know someone who bought a plant in the UK that came with a Tarantula in it, it was dead (or may have been a shed skin), but it did happen. Another urban myth, which I know, in part at least, to be true.

I noticed a Fiat advert last night that had a guy in a horse head mask with the phrase "deal with it" written on the screen. I didn't know #deal with it became such a meme. I guess advertisers are really trying to reach a small demo using obscure internet inside jokes?

Well, now I see that it's a sort of meme/urban legend.

Butt, I ONLY had ever seen it here. So if I saw that commercial on TV - or a shortened version of it somehow - I would have thought it did come from GAF.

Myth busted, but you had me going. Someone definitely did post that in here in an embarrassing confession thread. I'm sure it has already been dug up.

The Garfield comic was the pinnacle, I don't even remember what this thread is about at this point.
