Luis Suarez the football vampire has bitten another player [Update: BANNED]

Feel bad for Liverpool (just a bit) as they are being punished for something they had no control or indeed direct involvement in, but I agree with the sentiment of the ban none the less. I just hope Suarez takes the time out to get some serious help, cause I sure as hell don't want to see him doing this shit again.
Liverpool and all of its supporters should be furious at him for this. I would be impressed if they decided that enough was enough and got rid of him.

Unfortunately, it already appears as if some Liverpool fans are more angry at the ban than they are at the man himself.

Up to liverpool I guess, not for FIFA to decide.

Anyways: Seems like a very lenient punishment to me. I don't think you need to bite people more than 3 times to get a perma-ban from professional football. 2 should do the trick just fine.
Bullshit punishment
Especially for if he's still getting paid. Rubbish.

Yeah that's not how the world works. If you murder someone multiple times and go to jail you don't get compensated. Look at Aaron Hernandez. Liverpool knew he was a fuckstain before they got him, they did it anyway because he's one of the best players in the world.
Well that's why i asked if it was possible. Usually, if an employee causes damages due to willful reckless behavior a company i can actually hold the employee responsible for the damages he caused. Here in NL at least. That's why i was wondering if it would be possible.

Wait, i didn't mean for Suarez to get a compensation!?

It's like the Guardian article said in that everyone the guy spoke to when researching an incident Suarez had when he was 16, every person he was in contact were not willing to blame Suarez. The power of the baby face.

In my understanding Liverpool bought him for a hefty sum.

They bought him "As Is". That is, "as is" a crazy, unpredictable shit who bites people. If they didn't want a crazy, unpredictable shit who bites people, they shouldn't have bought him. If they want to sue him for non-performance of a contract, that's between his lawyers and Liverpool's lawyers. It'd be like me buying a Pinto for restoration and being surprised it caught on fire during a rear-end collision.

i think you mean dalglish

#justice4suarez

yeah that's it, I knew it wasn't right when I typed that out lol.

Ban is shit considering the four months start as of now. Shouldve started when the league starts.

The games he'll miss compiled by the Liverpool subreddit:

Friendlies:
16 Jul Brondby (A)
19 Jul Preston (A)
24 Jul AS Roma (A)
28 Jul Olympiacos (A)
31 Jul Man City (A)
03 Aug AC Milan (A)
10 Aug Borussia Dortmund (H)
Season:
16 Aug Southampton (H)
23 Aug Man City (A)
30 Aug Tottenham (A)
13 Sep Aston Villa (H)
20 Sep West Ham (A)
27 Sep Everton (H)
04 Oct West Brom (H)
18 Oct QPR (A)
25 Oct Hull City (H)
Plus 1 or 2 league cup games and 3 CL games

I'd like more, but that's pretty substantial.

I'm pissed at the ban because its not remotely consistent with how other bans have been applied. Before its pretty much only Cantona that got a ban covering both club and international games - before if a player does something for their country it will only get them banned from international games, and vice versa

That doesn't mean I cant be furious at him for doing it in the first place either - I just don't see why Liverpool should be the ones getting the brunt of the punishment. He cheated for Uruguay, a lengthy ban from International games would still be an adequate punishment, so it shouldn't be mostly Liverpool (or club, if he is transferred) games that he will miss

Who cares about friendles. Hit him where it hurts.

Liverpool has no control over what Suarez does as the World Cup but they did defend him a lot. They never really tried to make a statement and never really tried to contain his behaviour.

But he's lucky. Hes a repeater, that lied and showed no remorse even though the entire world was watching and the evidence was right there. Third fucking time, that should be a full season ban at the very least.

- 9 World Cup Matches (not sure if that excludes qualifiers and friendlies)
- 4 Month ban on all Football Related sports
- Stadium Ban
- Fined 100,000 Swiss Francs (roughly $112,000.00)

If the 4 month ban goes into effect today, that means he'll miss up to 16 matches at Liverpool. So effectively, Luis Suarez is banned for 25 Matches.

Bye Suarez, and gl Uruguay.

Maybe you can add on the two months personal misery he's going to have by being trapped in England until the January transfer opens. He clearly hates England and the press and he's been engineering a summer move to Spain this whole World Cup, but now he's stuck in Liverpool for the foreseeable future, the poor soul.

Complete joke.

If Fifa really were interested in the good of the game then they'd let him play on. Give him a fine, make him see a counsellor or something but don't deprive the millions of people who enjoy watching his footballing ability.
Allowing the mob to control football is everything that's wrong with the game.

Because Suarez was not playing for Liverpool the moment it happened, so they are not responsible for this action of his. Would be nice if they could sue him or something like that so they can get compensation for the damage he's causing Liverpool right now.

If he'd shown any signs of doing this before he secured a big money deal then they could have at least known it was possible. But out of the blue like this is just so unfair.

:lol fuck off, that isn't punishing Suarez

They would have been nicer, if it wasn't his third damn time.

Liverpool knew he was insane and supported him anyway so they deserve what they got.

Location, Liverpool or Uruguay?: Inconclusive

Which one is it? No one else would say something this absurd otherwise. He's lucky, frankly. A lifetime ban or at least 1 year would have been more reasonable and may have actually prevented him from pulling this stunt a 4th time. He'll do it again though.

FIFA doing the right thing? Is this real?

Well the right thing would have been a red card during the match and an Italy win because the replay official saw the incident and messaged the ref from his studio.

This is aftermath justice.

Don't know if this has been discussed but, wouldn't this also mean he can't be registered for tournaments? I mean, if he can't be transfered can he be registerd for the Premiership or Champions League?
