AEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I can't wait fjsad;kfl jdska;

Well, I'll try out the demo just to see what the PS2 version of Psychonauts is like. I get OPM for free, no harm is spending 30 minutes with the demo disc.

I want to see PSP demos. Put the demo on the disc, put the disc on your computer, transfer the file onto your memory stick. Make it happen, OPM. :p

I demand scans of said Burnout 4 cover story! Damn this board and it's rules :(. Can I get a description of what's new atleast?

I read FSW and Darkwatch are the only demos. The rest are videos. I didn't get my OPM today though.

:(

No thanks then...

If print mags are starting to get Burnout 4 stories, how long before websites can cover it?

Edit: Burnout 4...and to think Criterion was thinking of retiring the series for awhile after #2...

Here's the link to the whole article.

Thanks 4 the tip, Pedigree Chum. I didn't know you could actually get banned for that.

dammit, I was hoping for a Lego Star Wars demo :(

There's a demo for the PC available and it should run just fine on an older pc too. In addition it plays extremely well with a converter and the Dualshock 2.

BO4 sounds great. I like the fact that they're altering the racing crash physics so that not every contact with traffic triggers an accident for yourself allowing you to intentionally trigger traffic accidents that may affect your opponents instead.

And there's that pic, big as day, on the last page of the article that everyone was arguing over in the other thread as to whether it was next gen or not. Heh.

I'm seriously blown away that the pics are from the PS2 version. Criterion are hardware masters, unbe-freakin'-livable.

I prefer Burnout 3's more colorful visual style to the OPM shots. Maybe more technically impressive, but very drab looking game IMO.

And time for a heaping of crow.

Quoth Blimblim:

Ho please, how can anyone in his right mind (so obviously not Izzy) think this is a shot from a current generation title ? Especially a multiplatform title! Criterion might be coding wizards, but even a totally optimized Xbox engine would have a very hard time getting these graphics at 60 fps. It's a scan so it's difficult to judge the textures, but the bricks on the buildings look very detailed to me, and there is a quite high number of polygons on this screen, unless the stairs are done with a big texture...
Ho well, back to viral marketing for me.

:lol

Yeah, if that pic is from the PS2 version (like I cautiously suspected it was), some people will be eating some serious crow :P

Could some nice person summarize the article since I seem to have missed the link?

Well, from what they're saying in the article, they only took a look at the Detroit themed areas, which were intentionally more drab.

I've been called 'insane', 'not in my right mind', for suggesting it's a PS2 game. Which was ridiclous since I actually own the latest issue of OP2M (UK).

I've read the article. Pic is clearly from the PS2 version, as that is the only version they have right now. Ward even said they are not developing anything for next gen at the moment.

It does indeed look like a PS2 game, a very pretty yet gritty one. Blimblim was not the only wrong there, but also any all the other people with the balls to point a console just from that crappy pic, even if they said it was PS2. The differences with the full size scans are just abysmal.

Funky, the biggest argument was whether the scan showed something designed for next gen or this gen hardware, not platform specificity.

Replace console with generation and you are done then. It does not look like next gen by a mile, whoever pointed this as current or next gen material from that crappy scan was really looking for footprints in the mud.

Yeah, well the stairs ARE indeed a big texture. I admit I was wrong though, the game looks bad in the big shots, so it's definitely PS2 stuff. Gotta love the ground texture...

Hey, no hard feelings, we all make mistakes. If you want to check out the whole article, hit my favourite forum ASAP. :)

Btw, the game looks awesome.

Wha.....if you know what the article says, can you give the details in full about what it says? And why is everybody putting secretive letters into their messages?

Ischt sprachen Game Front ... .de

Anyway, I dunno why everyone cares so much about Burnout. It's been EAtized, move on.

Sorry, what makes it looking for footprints in the mud for anyone that said there was nothing about the scan that suggested next gen?

I am not talking about the ones saying "I don't know how do you say that this does look like next gen, I can see shit" but those more over the lines of "it looks like current gen"

Happy now?

Haha, I saw this damage control coming from a mile away :P

Because the EA-tized BO3 was the best game in the series?
