Of course Alex doesn't mean that, it's obvious that he's joking.
I think you're mistaken. It's clearly obvious Alex is positing the query "What are you doing with your lives watching this?" in order to instigate mass existential reflection in the viewing audience so that they may reach enlightenment. He's a natural philosopher.
And if for some reason you think he's being serious, take a moment and remember that Alex watches wrestling.
I think it's rather obvious that he's kidding. I think it's partly that he's humble, and partly that he's a satirical guy. He has a darker sense of humor, and he probably genuinely wonders why someone would want to watch. Maybe that's assuming too much about him, but that's how he strikes me.
He's a good guy, though, and I can't wait to see more from GB East. I wonder how Alex and Vinny will mesh. Their personalities seem both slightly at odds, but oddly complimentary at the same time.

Them playing Shovel Knight and Spintires was better than the QL on the site imho.

Glitch in spintires and Drew not being in the control room this week.
Vinny paid off Drew to fuck up the west coast content so that people would think the east coast content was better.

I thought Vinny was going to take time off so he could move in and get his new house all sorted, then come back and do the same for the new office.

Ah, fair enough. The QL I noticed it in was Valiant Hearts, but that game just has little music I think.
It is going to be a short first week if the new guys start on monday. Thursday is a holiday, CBS usually take the 5th off too and I can see GB maybe taking wednesday off as well, with it being the anniversary and all.
I am sure he would love that but he already used a couple of weeks of his vacation time moving across country. The tv guide offices are temporary anyway so they are not going to spend too long setting up in them.

I've been watching a lot of video of Ryan lately. Miss him a lot. But I have faith that the new hires will be awesome, especially if one of them is Dan.

IS it just me or does the Grid game look... really bad? Dunno if it's just the bitrate of the giantbomb videos.
That cockpit view looks less like depth of field and more like low res textures.
edit: I guess it's just the city track that looks really bland. The next track seems ok.

It's an old gen game. Also there's no real cockpit, just a blurred image.
Other than that the game looks just fine. Like every other Codemasters games on the last gen. Haven't watched the quicklook yet tho so there might be compression issues over it too.
Also what platform are they playing it on? On PC it doesn't look bad at all.
